I got a backup of Brave New Bronze, Solar Riche (Which sold out at my store) and Liberated gloss.

When will Ion open? Will the Sephora carry NARS and UD?

Hi, I think I'm still not ready for bright yellows.

I don't know if Sephora will carry those other brands, but I heard that the shop will be bigger that the one at Takashimaya, and I think that ION will open next August or maybe July, but don't later than that.

Can an NC15 pull of tribalist? Has anyone mixed it with other l/s or worn it sheer with balm?

Also does anyone know how to get the gold w/ hint of red lip look in the 2nd promo pic?

I do not have Tribalist, but I have the dark l/s from CoC last year and yes, I can pull them off

Just give it a try.

As for the gold w/ red lipstick, I could recommend Port Red, but Port Red was LE.
Maybe a red l/s with a goldish gloss over it like Liberated? Otherwise you could ask MAC live chat for a recommendation or what they used on the promo pic.

Tribalist is a very very dark color, even on me (NC35) and some other ladies who is of a darker skintone than me have said that it is too dark for them too. I personally wouldn't wear it staight out of the tube, but mix it with l/g or blot it off so its not as intense.

On to your next question. Hmm I wouldn't try wearing red lipstick to achieve that look, because the red would be too intense then. Unless you blot it off. I would try a sheer coat of red l/l first (try Cranapple), topping it off with Sunsational l/s, if it's still not 'gold' enough then add Gold Rebel over it.

You know what, I'm going to try to create that look tomorrow, with the products mentioned above. Will post pics.

On my waterline it smudges like crazy.. not pretty.
nope.gif

I have to set it with black e/s on my lashlines so that it doesn't smudge there.

I gotta say I am very pleasantly surprised at this collection.

I posted a couple of reviews so far on Viewpoints (very in depth with photos) and I plan to put up a few more this week if I have the time since I have an art show spotlight that I have to host this weekend I might not until next week.

Brave New Bronze is MUST have for me. I have to wear a bit of gloss over top as it is drying, but SO worth it.

Sunsational is amazing with a tan. Without a tan, it is not as nice on me, which means it is on the warm side. With warm colored hair it is delightful.

Gold Rebel is quite sheer but nice for a nude gloss. Great over top of both the lipsticks.

Mercenary is a MUST have for me. It is almost identical to the Dior Gold Nugget that sold out FAST last year. The quality of the DIOR is much better but Mercenary is worth getting anyway. The color is my all time favorite nail polish color. It is a cross between warm and cool bronze and can go either way.

Impassioned is the best of all of the solar bits, imo. Quality wise it is smoother and easier to work with. Less fallout than the others. It is a gorgeous UNIQUE color. I am the mad scientist of mixing color and I have not been able to do it yet. I ALWAYS come up with dupes that are almost identical. So far Impassioned eludes me.

Mauvement is similar, but not nearly as nice as Impassioned. It is really gorgeous on too- same color family as LORAC Croc palette.

If you keep an eye on Viewpoints, I will have some in depth reviews over there (have BNB right now), (as always I get nothing out of you reading the reviews- I just like having the space and ability to post photos with the reviews over there- rather than taking up way too much space anywhere else).

BTW, if anyone wants me to include some comparison photos or anything in the reviews, let me know. I really want to help people if I can.

I have pink rebel and I've tried it a couple of ways.
The first way I tried it I just applied it directly to my cheeks then placed my blush or msf over it. I was not a fan. It was like it grabbed hold of the blush and I had a hard time blending it. Another time I tried it on it's own and I found it tends to sink into pores, unlike the JAP gel blush from RR which actually blends out beautifully, the L/d in my opinion aren't as willing to blend out.

The second way I've worn it is my favourite

I mix it in with my moisturizer and it gives my face a nice glow without any obvious powder or sparkle etc etc. I really like it this way. It seems when mixed with moisturizer it blends and spreads out really nicely and evenly.

Although keep in mind that I am not the best or most knowledgable with makeup either though lol so I don't know if I'm using it to its full potential

I hope this helps

I dabbed Pink Rebel right over my blush and lightly blended out the edges. I definitely need a few extra minutes to do this. I tried to blend it out once instead of dabbing it and it took off my blush with it, so for me, it's gotta be a dabbing motion! I can't use this when I'm super rushed in the morning! (such as this morning, i ended up using Perfect Topping instead to highlight!).

Tish, this us for you. I had a horrible migraine, but was able to put some mu on. I actually like Purple Rite, but I don't see myself using it all the time!

Hmm, maybe I dont need Feline then. I need good black pencil for my waterline, cause i fill my waterline almost everyday. Right now I am usind Dior eyeliner and I like it, but its a little bit too pricey. I go through a lot of them.

Have you tried using Smashbox's jet set? I was using that for a few years and loved it. The only problem was that I wear contacts and sometimes it would get on the contact. The only way I could get it out was by taking my contact off and trying it rub it off, which was always a pain in the a**.

I've recently started using Mally Beauty's Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Liner after seeing it on qvc- and let me say, I LOVE this stuff. I have no smudging from my waterline, and it literally lasts all day. Sometimes I tend to forget to wash it off before I go to bed, then when I wake up the next morning it's still on. I've FINALLY found a liner that actually does what it says lol. And the best part is its not pricey at all and it comes in a set of 3- black, brown and a teal color.

I'm like you, I fill my waterline everyday, too. If you're looking for a good black liner, definitely try this!
