Either of these bronzers can be used very lightly. I have Solar Riche because I liked that better on my pink skin - Refined Golden was too, well, golden for my tastes. Solar Riche used properly gives me an honest-to-goodness sunkissed glow, and you'd never know it was makeup if you weren't accustomed to my usual lack of it.

I couldn't sleep last night, so I laid in bed adding up what these next three months of MAC-tastic collections are going to cost me. This turned out the be the "cheapest" collection for me. I'm getting:

Night Maneuvers e/s
Vibrant Grape e/s
Bright Future e/s (but only if it's more yellow than gold)
Soft Force e/s
Brave New Bronze l/s (B2M)
Either Liberated l/g or Gold Rebel l/g
Total: $72.00 (possibly as little as $43.50 if I don't like BF e/s or the glosses).

Woo-hoo for budgeting!! My wallet is going to LOVE meeeee!!

While I don't like the packaging, I depot all my blushes and eyeshadows and the lip products don't interest me. I'm in the clear!

I love the concept of the color pallete. it is just so rich

thanks for your advice - i have weird coloured skin! i'm quite pale - i usually wear the ivory shades in maybelline foundations. but parts of my face have pink understones and others have yellow undertone! pink i'm pinkish on the cheeks so maybe refined golden would be better...

I suspect you could use either, so you may just want to choose the compact you prefer!

I'm drawn towards the zebra print things too, but I'm trying really hard to ignore the packaging and go for the actual product colours

I have a leather zebra makeup case..probably why I am lemming the zebra stuff..although I really do prefer those lip colors

I've noticed this with me too, I think the zebra print got the prettier colours. I prefer the cat print though
