If there's a lot of stuff you want to try and know whether or not it will turn on you, apply swatches of everything on your hand as soon as you get to the MAC counter; then, leave them there as you take a while to poke around and look at things. It ought to give things a chance to react with your body chemistry and you should be able to see what will go funky on you. It doesn't ALWAYS work, but it helps with a lot of things, I find. Obviously it won't look the same on your hand as on your skin, but it'll generally give an idea of how much you're going to mutilate the shade.

Thank you for the tips!
I normally know, which colours will look odd, and which don't (a good year of mac-addiction really helped a lot
) but there are always surprises - not only nice ones
I will definitely try to leave the swatches on for a while next time, I think that might be interesting.
And I will check out the cremestick liners, I normally prefer liners that I don't have to sharpen
I will go to the counter and see which colours would work for me. Perhaps I can find one, that looks like my lipcolour but has a slight brown undertone, so my lips don't change colours.
But now, back to Style Warriors - I don't want to change the whole theme into a "help Sandra with her colour-changing-lips-theme"
