MAC - Style Warriors Discussion

So after much dilly-dallying I finally decided to go and check out the SW collection today. I know I said I didn't care for any of it before...but in person ughh my wallet officially hates me!

BNB is my new favorite love!! It's like one of those "where have you been all my life?" nude lipstick colors on me. Definitely gonna get backups and will post a pic tomorrow when my camera charges.

I ended up with On a Mission, Eversun, BNB, all the nail polishes (love that Mercenary the most!), Pink Rebel, Sun Rush and Soft Force.

So much for not digging Style Warriors. Argh!

I finally got my Style Warriors haul!

I thought I was going to have to skip this collection but I'm so happy I didn't.

I got:
Purple Rite l/s
Gold Rebel l/g
Bright Future e/s
Mercenary n/l

(I also got Perfect Topping MSF, Viva Glam VIse l/s, Electric Eel, and a sample of Fuschia pigment

)


Am I the only one who was not impressed with the Bronzer packaging? I think it would have been cooler if the silver geometric design was like a raised metal cage over the leopard/zebra (or tiger in my mind

) compact... Maybe that only looks good in my head haha. I loved the rest of the packaging though. Honestly I wish I had bought more but I guess I can use that money for future collections

They sell worldwide I think.

My nails used to be so thin too and so soft! And the nails also tended to chip.
I got bitten by the must-do-my-nails bug on Youtube (MissChievous) and here on Specktra (Ernie and Audrey.. I am looking at you!

) and one of the best things I have ever purchased for my nails is OPI - Nail Envy. It is a nail strengthener but also a great base coat and my nails are much harder and stronger now!

To do something good for the skin around my nails, which was in a pretty bad shape too, I am using Crème Abricot nail cream by Christian Dior now.
It is pretty expensive but there surely are cheaper alternatives out there. Love the smell though!

I do them by myself but q-tips and nailpolish remover are my best friends to clean up around my nails. I also wrap a cotton pad around my nail file and put some nailpolish remover on it to clean up.

The best of the year with HK so far for me.

The packaging is so gorgeous. I like it much more than the orange one from Neo Sci Fi last year!

OMG! On A Mission is sooo beautiful!! I am wearing it over Refined Golden (which I still have) right now! This combo is hot. It is.

I love On A Mission as much as I love Blomming and Stark Naked. Gorgeous shade. I will post comparison pics of these three and with Flirt & Tease tomorrow.

Second thing I love: Bright Future. It is yellow, a Veluxe Pearl and in this adorable packaging. This is my definition of summer. It will become my fave yellow e/s from the ones I have. I will post comparison pics as well.

Third thing I love: Fierce & Fabulous. I have a lot of bright pink l/g, also Magnetique. But this one is so unique! Such a great blue pearl shimmer, very pigmented on me.

On A Mission and Fierce & Fabulous will look hot in fall as well with dark smokey eyes!

I will try Solar Riche, Eversun and Liberated tomorrow. I love my Refined Golden but will give SR a fair chance

And I love Sunbasque so Eversun will be great as well.

I am back from my counter with Bright Future. The bright yellow is gorgeous!

It is my first bright yellow e/s! The texture is so smooth! The box is so hot with the leopard print.

I tried BNB on my lips and it worked on me, not like death or poo on me. It will look good with dramatic eyes but I didn't buy it because of the texture. Refined Golden, Purple Rite and Fierce & Fabulous are very pretty too! I liked Vibrant Grape but it felt very gritty so I passed.

I tried the lustre drops which I was curious about. Pink Rebel disappeared when blended and Sun Rush showed as a pretty, golden highlight. I don't like I will use it much so I passed too.

It's great that we don't have to wait a month after the US to get SW! Enjoy your goodies too, Susanne and Jeanette!

Jeanette, thanks, I want to check out the nail strengthener and the nail cream from Dior (not sure if our counters have it).

MrsMay, I'm sorry to hear that Australia still has to wait.
