Now I'm thinking I may need the coral piggie, too.

I'm envious, Lou! I was hoping I could cut back, but my new obsession is pale blushes, and these look perfect to me! Plus, my new pink lipstick addiction is setting me back, too. *Must* *Cut* *Back*

yeah 100% just follow your fancy piggie for me! i'm loving how cheap my hauls are now becoming!

Definately getting the deep plum fluidline. as a matter of fact, I want TWO! i am hoping its close to bat black in color, cause i loved bat black, just not for my oily lids. this one looks a little brighter, but either way its HOT!

I am getting virgin isle and the coral pigment too. i can see the coral pigment as a blush on darker skin. maybe with a light hand. very pretty! will be getting those, my fix+ and lip conditioners from champale too. glad i passed on TT. these items are going to be good!

I'm gonna get Neo Orange l/s as I'm loving orange lips lately. They actually doa great job of brightening my winter complexion. Everything else is pass for me. The purple f/l looks great but I have an Inglot purple gel liner that seems to be a dupe

darlin banana, I fall out of love with MAC every other day

Shadowy, the purple in inglot is bluer based imo -- the Dark Diversion is a black based plum not purple

I do so agree with you on orange lips .. they will be the upcoming IT colour for spring/summer... great with pale skin or with a tan... have you looked into the Prolongwear orange ls? It's good too if worn as a stain.. yes, orange stain works beautifully.

What a great idea. I have to say...I love it when you post! You always have such good ideas and insight about things I'd never even think of.
Thanks for sharing them with us!

Thanks for the compliment, hon!

I had just come back from a screening of Barry Lyndon, which is maybe the most beautiful period film set in the 18th century ever, by Stanley Kubrik. It's certainly got glorious, historically accurate makeup, on the stunning Marisa Berenson. It was inspiring, seeing every detail up on the big screen......

You can click on the thumbnail in this link to see a hi-res image - so so beautiful! Best does her justice.

^^^^^This is a fantastic blog for all sorts of classic makeup looks through the eras, btw.

How dupeable is something new (compared to Violetta etc) and style curve (compared to show orchid etc) lipsticks? I want some brighter/bolder lippies in my collection but I'm TRYING to not get anything from this coll so I can put most of my money to Peacocky. They seem pretty dupable

well i'm certaintly falling out of love right now! but thats a whole different story! but yes i know what you mean. i dont want much from anything of late - i think it's because my collection is so big i feel like i'd just be buying dupes or stuff i dont need.

lol Maritiangurl.

liba, thank you for that link -- I think however that most of the world's population of females still want to look like Mariah Carey, Rihanna or God forbid, Nicki.. lol
but I am way past that and think that the cinematic aspect of mu should be more developed in everyday looks ... after all, aren't we all playing some kind of role on a day to day basis?

I really adore the promo pic. Also the collections seems to be a dream come true for me: full of pinks, reds and corals and pale beauty powders. I'm lemming the piggies, CCB's and the beauty powders. BUT, I have tons of pink and red e/s and I'm not really sure if I should buy any more of these colors. If I didn't already have too much makeup I would definitely get all the pigments and CCB's + PB's, but now I might skip this collection. Oh well, whom am I kidding. I'm not going to skip this collection, but I can't buy everything I'd like to.

It'd be pretty dull if we didn't!

I remember the good old days when if you walked down the street with black eyeliner and bright red lips, people would flip out and yell and throw shit at you from their cars. Fun times!

Makeup can still have dramatic shock value, except people are too cool for school to show how surprised they are nowadays.

I'll never forget reading an interview with Jean-Paul Gaultier around the time of his first or second collection where he said that old bag ladies were his inspiration for the way they'd just throw stuff together. It was definitely an influential statement for me all these years - when I was a clothing designer and for my own personal style. I dunno if I can handle a massive cigar like Ms. PinkPants - maybe just a rose between the teeth, tango-style!

that interview is a fav of mine and has been my inspiration too -- with clothing and makeup !!

I will never wear a pink ls and a pink gloss -- I find that gauche.. lol. I do however wear red ls with a fuschia blush and a coral dress !!

It just makes me happy to wear hot pink pants with a red rose in my teeth, white hair and a big ceegar
