I wanted to check out Style Curve and Something New today but they were sold out at my MAC counter. I guess I'll have to order online then. Which one do you girls think would like better on a fair skinned girl?

I got Play it Proper today. Finally, a beauty powder that I can use all over my face that 1.makes a difference to my eye 2.but isn't frosty or sparkly.
I use MSF's or other highlighting powders just over the top of my blush, but never like to on nose or anywhere else. But I still wanted something that I could use all over to make my skin look, I don't know, probably like magically perfect or something. lol. but no, something to reflect light in a flattering way.
So far, so good. I used this puppy all over my face, and it didn't make my pores scream or make me look shiny/oily. And it wasn't orangey. Awesome.
I wish I had a lotion with this in it, to smear all over my body.

I never buy backups of powders, but now, I'm almost tempted to get another one to brush on my legs during the summer.

Seriously, I am going to get another. I brushed this on the back of my hand and arm and stepped outside in the sun. It's AWESOME. I love that it isn't an obvious product sitting on the skin, but a beautiful sheen and light reflecting. The neighbors think I've lost it, admiring my arm and such.

I've been wearing it any time I leave the house its so perfect! It is truly a Magic Powder. I want it in an all over body powder too

You know when something makes your skin look flawless in daylight you need it by the bucket. I ddn't ever want to be without it - ever plus, sometimes when they relaunch something its just not quite the same as the first. I wasn't taking any chances

I didn't buy any of them, but when i swatched them in the store Something New pretty bright. I think Style Curve is better if you don't want a very bright colour, but it still is a bit purple. It depends on what you're looking for.

I don't have Something New, but I do have several very similar colours, and I found that Style Curve is not as 'loud' on me as they are. Style Curve is much more wearable for me, and very pretty. I'm not sure what skin shade I am, as I can't go to a MAC counter to be 'matched' but I've been told I'm most likely NW15 if that helps.

i just ordered a back up of play it proper, its amazing, i love that powder, elegant one totally had me excited for it from the way she talked about it and i couldnt agree more, it is perfect

Why is it that all the boring stuff from Micky Contractor (i mean don't get me wrong all of that stuff is nice too, just very neutral and like a lot of other regular neutral stuff MAC already has) is completely sold out but all the gorgeous stuff form SY isn't yet?? lol I just don't get it...are people just afraid of fun bright colors?? lol CONFUSED

Yeah idk,the only things I like from Mickey are the fluidlines,the lippies are kinda blah and bland.Have no idea why those are sold out tbh I'm really surprised.

I hauled Style Curve and Cockney! I was surprised that Style Curve has so much more pink tones to it than Up The Amp (which was a lot more purple and dull looking). I really loved the beauty powders from this collection too, and was so set on getting Too Chic, but the MA said that they received no stock of it.

It could have to do with the amount of stock they had in the first place for the Mickey Contractor collection. Customer service at MAC indicated this was a limited collection.

It probably means that they had less stock on hand for MC. I also think that the fact that these are more neutrals means they appeal to a wider group. Brighter colours tend to be more intimidating to a mass audience. I'm just as happy it works this way, because it means it means that I don't have to rush quite as much to get the things that I really want.
