Can I ask you all a question?? Why is it that all the boring stuff from Micky Contractor (i mean don't get me wrong all of that stuff is nice too, just very neutral and like a lot of other regular neutral stuff MAC already has) is completely sold out but all the gorgeous stuff form SY isn't yet?? lol I just don't get it...are people just afraid of fun bright colors?? lol CONFUSED

i think the majority of people do tend to wear more neautral make up which is why mickey has sold so well. but also it was a more limted in stock collection than stylishly yours. although weirdly i love my bringhts more than anything but i actually skipped this collection because i can dupe pretty much everything that i wanted.

Ya'll are making me lem that Play It Proper. But if I hold firm, then Cockney is all I got from this collection. Now if that Purple lippy was a Satin or a Matte, forget about it. We need some Matte purple. And I don't mean hot pink!

It probably means that they had less stock on hand for MC. I also think that the fact that these are more neutrals means they appeal to a wider group. Brighter colours tend to be more intimidating to a mass audience. I'm just as happy it works this way, because it means it means that I don't have to rush quite as much to get the things that I really want.

Stopped by Mac today to do some B2M and get some wipes and I was surprised at how many things have sold out from this collection. Most of the lipsticks were missing from the two displays I saw and the pigments as well. CCBs were all still there and the beauty powders. Cham-Pale stuff seemed to have been mauled by tigers. At least half gone and what remained looked worse than things I've had for years. I lingered over the pink pigment for a long time, as well as Play It Proper... I have to keep telling myself that I don't need these two things.

Ended up going very conservative with my B2M choices- got Creme d'Nude l/s and Prrr l/g, neither of which I've ever owned.

I bought all four cream color bases..

and although it's not advisable to use them on the lips...the colors were all so attractive that i HAD to test them on the lips...

and sure enough... I LOVE LOVE LOVE madly magenta on my lips as a lip color. Such a wonderful hOT fuschia purplish Pink........doesn't dry my lips out either... I don't care i'm gonna wear madly magenta as a lip color... LOVE IT...

Well having eagerly awaited the arrival of my two CCBs (tickle me pink and virgin isle) I have to say, unfortunately, I'm not blown away by them at all

I thought it was the eyes, not the lips, that some of the colours were not recommended for? I assumed they were fine for lips...

Yeah i tot it was safe for the lips since i saw there wasn't any warning about using it on the lips..... My friend said it wasn't advisable to use on the lips. But i didn't care cause i didn't see any warning of it in the package n went ahead to wear Madly magenta on the lips. A really lovely color on the lips....i foresee i will wear madly magenta more as a lip color rather than a cheek color.

The only things I got from this collection were Dark Diversion and Blacktrack fluidlines, which I know are permanent, but I really wanted them as they are the two fluidline colours that I will use a lot of. I had a black liquid liner that just ran out and I lost my brown one when I was on holiday, so I think DD will be a suitable replacement there!

I would have preferred Ivy got cancelled... I really hope I find this liner!! I wouldn't have placed another order if it weren't for all the rave reviews about it..... awww booo....

I am in LOVE with Style Curve! I finally wore it out last night and loved it. At first I thought it wasnt purple enough, but the more layers I put on it got more purple. Only thing is it left my lips pink pink even today.

Thanks babe, that's my lips in the pic. The color i am wearing in my avatar is MAC Melt in your Mouth Cremesheen glass. I love MAC's cremesheen glasses the most...Creamy, no shimmers and give a very nice juicy and glossy look to the lips.

The colours are perhaps easier to carry off on a daily basis.Most people are afraid to use bright colours for fear of looking like a clown if used or done wrongly

The question is, because I didn't look at it when I was at the counter, how does Too Chic compare to Play it Proper? Is the subtleness the same?
I had it in my cart with PiP, but wanted to ask what y'all thought of it first, before I hit the trigger.

I think the finish is the same. It's like a golden version of PiP.
