ok soooo i broke down n got BMS!! i can tell u off first impressions its NOT like the smoked palette!! BMS is more softer vs the SP is darker n richer!!
NO!! u dnt need both. i went in with the intentions on gettin SD but it was too light for my complexion n went with NOB!! i'd totally get caliente over SS!!

ok yall...so i went to nordies to get my stuff. funny people still thinkin the coll drops tomorrow cuz it was nice n quiet in there today!! maybe not all the counters dropped em early today

but anyhoo...this is why i like to wait til shyt drops at the counter to swatch shyt for myself. i had every intention to get FMP but i swatched it wit UTA and umm yea...they dmn near like twinsies soooo i skipped it. i got:

Caliente and Underdressed-honestly i dnt think u need BOTH but i didnt want skippers remorse n they kinda go hand in hand. if u want to be more bold then caliente is IT but if u want a softer subtle lip underdressed is it. i plan on usin UD w/a plum liner. its soooo gorgeous in person its ridick!!

RFL-a muuuust for sure!

NOB-this is my first official mac bronzer n really i just wanted it for the compact but it feel so good on the face n i noticed the subtle glow!

gold elixir-thank GAWD when i combo'd this w/NOB i didnt look like tinkerbell wiped her azz on my face!!

liquid passion-i've been lookin for the perfect nude gloss n these arent as tacky as they normally are. i wanna pair it w/peachstock or honey love!!

BMS-i really did NOT want to like this phkn $44 quad and was hopin i had somethin similar in my stash but ummm i dnt. its soooo gorgeous and pics do this thing NO JUSTICE!! if nothing else this quad is another must have. not even the green color but the light colors are to die for too.

my mua tried to get me into the pencils which...dnt get me wrong are gooorgeous!! the brown one reminds me of nars mekong but im just not a shade stick kinda gal. im REALLY happy w/my purchases and these are perfect for the summer bronze look!! this is the first time in a loooong time i can actually say MAC did a good job! nooooow whats next

Yes, i noticed the strobe liquid wasn't perfumed when i tested it. It just smells like the chemicals it's made of, it hasn't gone "off". Fortunately the smell of the Strobe Lotion dissipates fairly quickly.

One reason most cosmetics companies put fragrance into their makeup is that consumers would think they smelled "funny" without the perfume. For example, NARS lip glosses smell "funny" to me, but i expect it... Plus, if i'm putting something on my face, like Strobe Lotion, i prefer no fragrance, since that is often a skin irritant and my face is now moderately sensitive.

Three Dazzleglasses in the Glitter and Ice collection were kinda similar:
-- Glitter & Ice was light nude with white and gold pearl.
-- Pleasure Principle was sheer white with violet, teal, and white pearl.
-- She-zam was clear with silver sparkle, so i think this may be the one you were thinking of.

They were not terribly different on, but they did have slightly noticeable differences, so I got Pleasure Principle because i liked the iridescent sparkle.

Now i have other MAC glosses that are warmer, such as Bait, which is light warm pink with multi-colored shimmer, and Boundlessly Beige, which is gold-frosted pink-beige with silver glitter, so i'm skipping Soft Serenade.

It's Double Points at Nordies! I'm tempted to place another order. Do I need Nude on Board if I already ordered Sun Dipped? Do I need Caliente? Soft Serenade? I hate skipper's remorse. I guess if I end up not liking them, I can always give them to someone else who might enjoy them. Thanks, KiKi! I ended up getting both SD and NOB. Double Points made me do it!

If one of them doesn't work for me, I'll just give it to my mom. (She's coming to visit me this summer.) Now, if I like both, I'm keeping them both. (I'm sure she'll find something else in my stash.)

Thanks so much for comparing! I went into my MAC store today and swatched everything and you're right they are different. I hope I can get the Strobe Liquid, BMS quad, RFL and FML.

I've been waiting for my order to arrive. Tonight I decided to check the status on the MAC site. My order was cancelled and two items are OOS now. :-(

A bit over an hour ago i noticed i had a text msg on my phone... it was from MAC... it was about Temperature Rising... and in my experience, MAC never sends msgs out early. So i immediately phoned my local MAC and asked if the collection was out today. Yes, they said, to compete with Nordstrom.

OMG! OMG! OMG! I nearly passed out! What if the stuff i wanted was already gone! But the SA assured me they'd had little traffic on the collection, so i jumped in my car and raced down there (not breaking any speed limits, though). And stood panting at the register.

Turned out they had EVERYTHING in stock. So i got what was on my list. Whew! I nearly fainted when i heard the total $$, but i'm not planning to buy much from collections in June or July (2 or 3 from AAO, 1 or 2 from TT), so i think my bank account will recover.

I'll try things on tomorrow. I swatched everything on my arm last week, but how they look on my lips and eyes and cheeks may be a different story.

Tempted to try a few items that I did not pre-order tomorrow at Macy's . These are haunting me:-

Golden Elixir- I have somewhat oily skin and recently finished my Studio Fix liquid and now using mineralize solid foundation in NW45
I am worried about any extra unwelcomed shine vs the nice glow that I get from my EDSF.
Secondly, would it be easy to apply when the foundation is not liquid?

RFL- Everyone is singing its praise but I had pre-ordered HN and just got a total of 5 blushes from ED and plan on getting at least two more from TT

Soft Serenade- Certainly getting Rhythm, Underdressed and Caliente but still deliberating on SS esp if it is prettier than Impossibly Sweet. Is it prettier than IS? lol

Any thoughts are welcomed please, please, please, lol

I also plan on playing with the TR Quad as I had pre-ordered BMS which I had an opportunity to see earlier

wow panic attack there! i do not have a mac store or counter near me, so online stalking have become sort of an obsession of mine lol. my bank account is is critical mode from the last few months, no more major haul from me either until the fall i hope!

yea it was little traffic becuz everyone is still set on thinkin it'll launch tomorrow!! so basically from now on everyone will prolly stalk the stores early from now on too!!

I got Polished Jet today. That's the only thing I had on my mind. It's similar to an Urban Decay shadow I own, but that's alright b/c I love colors like that. I was hoping I'd like on of those bronzers b/c I love the compact so much but nope.

So here is my take on my order: I am pleasantly surprised by AB and LP so glad I listened to the hubby who suggested I stopped getting the same colors (pinks & purples). He was right but don't tell him I said that. On my pigmented lips AB is sheer but delivers enough coverage. LP is a pretty peachy nude and goes well with AB. Awesome combo! FMP I haven't tried it yet. Thinking about returning it, I seriously have too many purples as it is. We'll see how I feel when I swatch it in store. RFL is everything and more. Nothing left to say that hasn't already been said. Caliente is prettier than any picture i've seen online. It isnt chunky at all, very very glitter tho but smooth on the lips. Now here is the real, that mess ended up everywhere lol On my face and on both my kids' face, and not easy to wipe off. They are both toddlers so i do alot of picking up and consoling so I assume it transfred that way. So unique to my collection so I will keep for that fact alone. It really is a gorgeous, unique color so I suggest you get it if you haven't already. Thanks to my fellow muaddicts I added it right before I checked out and I'm glad I did. Tomorrow I go to pick up the rest, BMS, HN, RG (have already but want a compact), Strobe Liquid? That smell will determine if I get it, underdressed and maybe a pencil.

Wore some of my new goodies today - wore hot nights blush, caliente, underdressed, rich glance on eyes and sun dipped bronzer- love caliente, reminds me of Snazzy dazzle lipstick which I used almost all of, this just has a deeper tone to it- loved caliente so much bought a back up at belk.com today!

I am nw20 and I have sundipped from last year and love it. I was going to buy another but someone said it seemed different. I would try it on...I ended up skipping.

Im trying to cut down my list. Do i need sun dipped?(NW15/20) I wear bronzer in the summer but i've been mixing refined golden and nude on board (hey sailor) recently and this should last me till next summer. I've also been using double def, very lightly. I love the packaging but im trying to be good, and if i get sun dipped i'll never finish my other bronzers. If it really is all that, i will get it. Any advice?
