Thank You :)
I am from Austria. If I am talking to someone here and I mention MAC they are always like: "Hum, MAC? You mean Apple, right?"
Maybe I am just talking to the wrong people ;)
I was never the girly kind of girl either. It all started this year, when I was looking for a lipstick for special occasions... then there was this MAC counter and the girl who worked there showed me the lipsticks - i think at that counter, they already know me. I remember one time i went there and the girl was like: "Hey, you are the one who bought "Brick o la" last week, aren't you?". That really surprised me - because I couldn't really remember her.
Haha, your dad sounds like a really cute person :)
I am glad your friend found Lorelei for you and your sis - it is so beautiful!
I have a friend who sometimes joins me when I am on my lipstick-hunting-tours. She likes lipstick as well but it's not the same. I feel like sometimes it's a little too much for her when I mention the topic once again or I start telling her about new LEs and stuff like that. Then there's also my mother who really likes and enjoys wearing make up. However i think she doesn't enjoy talking about it that much... sometimes I visit a MAC counter with her and she always buys things there but she's not as excited about new stuff being released as i am. I mean it's great to have her with me when i am there and it's also great to have something in common with her now, since we never really shared any hobbies or anything like that. Now we have at least something to talk about (if she's willing to) and that's nice. She even supports my addiction sometimes (and buys me lipstick) which i really appreciate :)
Welcome to the forum!
I´m from Austria as well and I have to agree, MAC is not that well known here. I bought my first MAC product 10 years ago, when I went to university. I finally had access to Bobbi Brown and MAC counters, MUA brands which would sell more than 5 shades of foundation (yellow based ones, yay!), as a pale girl I was very happy.
LE stuff sells out fast on the MAC website, but lingers on for quite some time at counters. My hometown only got a counter this year, and when I went there 3 days after the AA and Playland release, they still had everything. (They only ordered 3 pieces of every Playland article)

Thanks ;) I remember when i first visited a MAC store i was so overwhelmed because they had so many different shades of foundation - before that time i went to normal drugstores and usually got upset because there was no shade that would really suit me. I was busy when they released the collections (playland and AA), so I don't even know the exact date on which they were released here, but when i got to my counter they also still had everything of both collections and i think they still have a few items left (at least last week they did). Could it be that we go to the same counter? Mine is quite new as well and it also had the playland collection :)

Pretty sure I will be getting all the lipsticks except for Heroine, which I already own. This is a collection that already has my .
