MAC The Matte Lip Collection (Oct 9, 2014)

Swatches on NW 10 (or lighter) skin, pale pink lips, no liner Fashion Revival direct sunlight: no direct light: Color is pretty true to what it really looks like in each lighting. If anything, it might be smidge darker in real life.  Living Legend direct sunlight: It's less brown in real life. no direct light: My camera doesn't capture the plummyness that well unfortunately.  It really looks like one of those old Hollywood film noir lipsticks. Very dramatic but despite its darkness rather sophisticated than goth looking in my opinion.

Bought Fashion Revival and Living Legend today. Fashion Revival is EVERYTHING! Better than Rebel..the perfect berry of my dreams! So glad I decided to get it. Not pink or bright on me..just plummy/berry goodness! It isn't the mattest matte out there but not too creamy from what I can tell so far. Living Legend is super dark on me (NW10 or lighter skin, pale pinks lips) . Bordering on black. But it has a nice plum tone to it and I am fairly sure that I wouldn't have liked Lingering Kiss as much as this one. Also a rather creamy matte but I think if you let it set it will be ok. Texture is more like Russian Red rather than Pink Plaid for example. (Pink Plaid is drier and more matte on me)  Lip swatches will follow

Both of the lippies look really great on you! Will you use a lipliner with LL?
For that purpose I bought Bespoken For. It is the same colour as LL, a great lipliner.

I swatched BF on my hand. It's perfect for Living Legend. I am not really a lipliner kind of girl.. too lazy most of the times But I might use a brighter/plummy lipliner to make the lipstick look a little less dark at times. I'm not buying expensive lipliners as of now because I rarely ever use them and the drugstore ones seem to be good enough for my purposes.
I don't know why..but I'm not willing to spend as much on a MAC lipliner as I spend on their lipsticks

I do like it and I think it's just so dark on me because I am like the palest person in the world ^^ TTT was almost black on me, too. Except for flash photographs. But on the plus side, LL is not the slightest bit patchy. Goes on perfectly smooth. 

That's interesting. TTT is one of my Fall favorites. I love it. I have managed to get it to work and I don't have many problems with it. Thanks for the review.

I don't see black at all here. It looks like a deep burgundy wine color almost like TTT. I LOVE it on you.

Yep it depends on the light I'm in.. sometimes it's just super dark. Maybe black is the wrong word for it but you know extremely dark with a hint of plum. But I like it best in that last picture and in the right lighting this is how it actually looks on me So I'm happy
