MAC The Matte Lip Collection (Oct 9, 2014)

I hauled all the lippies from this collection but I only wore Pander Me so far. I like it a lot but I was hoping for something slightly warmer. It pulled a bit too taupe on me, which isn't really surprising as the likes of Riri Nude look positively gray on me. No idea why. Maybe because I have yellow undertones, I dunno. This probably counts as heresy around these parts, but I'm really happy that these lipsticks are creamy mattes. My winter lips don't tolerate the old skool stuff but I think these will be OK.

Next on my to-wear list is Nouvelle Vogue!

Rebel, FR

How similar are FR and Rebel? Already got FR and just picked up Rebel, debating on whether I should bother keeping it

In Erin's pic, Fashion Revival is darker and more muted than Rebel. I never bought Rebel - i'd want it, i'd try it, i wouldn't get it, i'd keep hoping it was darker. I am happy with FR because it's less "pinky" than Rebel.

Have you tried Ruby Woo with the new Ruby Woo lip liner?

Unfortunately, the Ruby Woo liner only comes with the lipstick and the lip gloss. You can't buy it separately. That sucks because I have 3-4 Ruby Woo lipsticks and I am not a fan of the gloss.

I agree! I'm always in hunt for light warm/orangy products because a certain warmness often seems to disapper when on lips (or cheeks).

Will do! I'm thinking of getting NARS Catherine (already ordered a red but it has not arrived yet) hoping that it would be a light(er) orange on me. And I will def. look into Jane, too! Please post a pic of Jane on you.

I'm actually wearing Catherine today. It doesn't look that warm on me but it has a nice dustiness which makes it different from your average mid-tone coral. It's really pretty and sophisticated. I took some snaps in the morning. If the they turn out to be colour-accurate I will post them on the Audacious thread.

To be fair, I paired Catherine with OCC Grandma lip pencil so maybe that's why some of the warmth disappeared. It looked a lot warmer in the tube. I need to go on a lip pencil hunt!

I had to get Rita first because it literally has my name written all over it ! Marlene - a brick red with brown? My list is growing... BTW I have a swatch for you: here on the left Impulse Cliffhanger (a very brown orange) and PM. You see - PM does not look very peachy mocha next to C. I wish PM would lean more to C's family but it's a lovely shade regardless.

La vie en rouge completed The Matte Collection for me!! I'll have to do swatches with the liner later. LOVE LOVE LOVE Damn Glamorous!! I might have to get another one. I also LOVED Styled in Sepia, as this is the perfect nude for my skin tone!! I feel like I've been waiting a lifetime for SIS!!
