MAC Too Fabulous Discussion

I got In Synch, Rhapsody In Two and Deelight. They all look lush! Also here is some good news apparently if products from this collection sell well, in particular the liners MAC will most likely be making them perm.

BTW I got all of the blushes after all...lol and I got naked l/l and In Synch l/l, all the MA's were raving about Naked because there isn't anything like it, most of them are buying multiples of those. So me thinks one would want to pick those up asap!

I really want to hear more about Naked liner. So, its basically being used as a lip erase?
Also, I'm interested in Buddy Up...so I can't wait to hear what you think!

I don't know if this has been asked before...and I'm too lazy to read through all 30 pages of this thread...so I would appreciate if anyone can tell me if any of these new mineralize blushes compare to the ones from Grand Duo. I did a blush count and I am at 50+...I must cut corners somewhere!

Thanks!

So, I talked to my DH about my dilema with this collection, and he told me to just stop overthinking things, and go pick up my stuff.
lol.gif
So, I did. I got Two Virtues, Naked, and In Synch. I saw GMLOL, and my wants from that collection are managable, so I decided to get the MB and liners now instead of waiting. I told my MA about my hesitation, and she said, "If you don't like it, bring it back, and we will exchange it towards your GMLOL stuff." That's all I needed to hear. I'm going to go play around with my new stuff, and I will report back

I'm having second thoughts about Naked l/l too. Should I get it if I use Myth as my lip eraser/super nude lipstick?

Ok, I just tried everything. LOVE Naked Liner. I just called my MA to have her hold a second one for me to pick up next week with my GMLOL stuff. I lined and filled my lips with it, and on NW15, it is totally consealer lips. But, I added a few different l/g over it, and love the effect. My favorite was True Babe l/g. It turned a bright pink l/g into a bright, but lighter pink. These liners are definately creamy. There was no drag, and it blended very nicely. I have not tried lip erase, so I can't compare, but I have a feeling the effect is similar.

Then I tried In Synch. I am less thrilled with this one. It is a very yellow pink, and I am just not sold. I will try it again tomorrow, but I am not sure it's the right color for me. Now, keep in mind, I lined and filled my lips with it, so maybe if I just line and fill with lipstick, I will be ok.

Finally Two Virtues. I asked for the one with the most purple. Still on my cheeks, a faint hint of purple. The search for the perfect lavender blush continues. I do really like the color though. It is very pigmented, and you don't need very much. Up close, you can see the slight shimmer, but it in no way makes me look shiny or greasy or discoball-ish. My MA suggested using this OVER Dirty Plum blush. I can't wait to try it.

Thanks and yes wouldn't it just! I'd happily buy the whole lot as I loved the look of them but I couldn't justify buying them all today but if they do go perm and hopefully they will, I'll get a chance to buy them up gradually!

I just picked up In Synch l/l. It is the lightest pink liner I own and seems like it will work well with very light lippies of all sorts - I'm wearing it with Peroxide l/g right now. Not sure if I would want to fill in my lips with it ...
Naked l/l was just too odd a color on my hand for me to want to get it.

And, somehow, the last Love Lace e/s at my freestanding leapt into my bag ... how'd that happen?

I just got my stuff, too! I picked up Rhapsody in Two, and managed to get one that has a lot more pink than peach, so yay!
th_DANCE.gif
I also got Naked, In Synch, and Trimmed in Pink Liners. Those should be fun to play with.

I think people are right when they're saying Naked looks like Lip Erase. The MA who helped me totally agrees these (or at least some) should all be perm. She said she was saving two more Nakeds for herself! I may investigate the Lip Erase later this month when I hit up the pro store, but Naked Liner just seems to be in much more convenient packaging.

Sidenote, a couple of the MAs who hadn't seen my blonde hair were there and were excited to see the change for themselves, since the other MAs were saying how cute I looked.

Totally made my day!

Audrey, I suggested this to another user...if you're looking for a lavender blush, I really think you should check out MUFE. Their shadows are technically 'blushes' and I believe there is a really pretty light lavender with just a hint of pink that might be what your looking for. Best of all, MUFE's shadows are so pigmented, so you'd be able to get the result you want with no problem.

I NEED that for my lips big time.

I had near black hair up until mid-January. There should be some older FOTDs of mine floating around that show my old hair color.

I looked so odd because lined and filled with Naked liner, I looked like I had no lips.
lol.gif
But I love how it changes whatever you put over it. It will be like having a bunch of brand new lipsticks/lipglosses.
lol.gif
It is a perfect match to our skin.
yes.gif
I agree with Karin... the lipliner looks much more convenient than the lip erase container.

On my hand, I can definate see the lavender in the blush. When I tried it on my face, it's not as obvious. And compared to AB on my hand, AB is much pinker. I hope you aren't disappointed when you get it
ssad.gif
It is still a lovely color, just a little different than I was hoping for. I think I will do as Karin suggested (thank you Karin!) and check out MUFE. Watch, as soon as I do, MAC will come out with a lavender blush.

Can't wait to go and check this collection out in a few hours

. I'm SOOO on the fence about this one. This is the first collection where I HAVE NO LIST
lol.gif
. I guess it's just because I have so many MBs that I feel like these might not be unique enough in color. I have to make myself NOT buy just because of the way they look! I will definitely take a look at the liners, though.

I will try and take lots of swatches for you guys- I'm wearing a new coat today so we'll see how high I can raise my sleeve

I have the lip erase - and honestly, I never use it
th_dunno.gif
. I love the idea of this pencil & the way you described it is exactly what I wanted. It will bring new life to colors I think.

I will still love 2 virtues - I've very rarely met a blush I didn't love
greengrin.gif

You know, Dirty Plum wasn't even all that Plummy on me either
th_dunno.gif
It was more raspberry with a hint of plum - still like it on though.

Yep, same here. I am really loving DP though. I have worn it several days this week. I can't wait to see what TV looks like over it.

Be sure to check online, too, Audrey. My Sephora carries less than half the shadows and blushes MUFE has.

Sephora: MAKE UP FOR EVER Powder Blush: Blush

Probably #9 or #89 is what you're looking for. They're friggin' pigmented as hell, but the 187 ought to get you a light enough application for what you want. I believe both of those colors were available at my Sephora, I know #9 for sure.
