MAC - Trend F/W 09 Discussion

This collection's not doing much for me. I'm not a huge fan of black based neutrals or blue. However, the Dark Purple/Black lipstick and the Grey/Taupe L/S look interesting. I'd say the same about the glosses, but I think I've already got at least three purple based glosses and one can only wear so much L/G at a time.

So, when I went to buy my nail polish yesterday, my MA showed me a few things from this collection.
The Quad: I know we are all mad about Deep Truth, but it looks gorgeous. Even Deep Truth looks fantastic in that particular quad. I am definitely getting it.
Red Full-Stop l/s: This does not even remotely resemble red. It is definitely a very neon orange-y pink. It is crazy bright, I am getting it!
Hipster l/s: Not really my thing, but it's pretty. Not too unique though.
Faultlessly F/W l/s: I don't really ever wear colors this dark, but it is gorgeous and it really says Fall to me. Kind of reminds me of a much more pigmented, more purple-y Clinique Black Honey.
Runway Fave l/g: My MA loves this color. It is a really nice neutral and a bit different than any neutral l/g I have, but I'm not totally sold on it yet.
New Berry l/g: Pretty sure this is Jampacked renamed. I mentioned that to my MA and he agreed. But if you missed Jampacked, this is lovely!
So This Season l/g: Gorgeous!!!!!!!! I am going to have to rock dark lips this fall with all these amazing shades!!!!
I didn't see Our Pick l/s, so I am still curious about that.
And I did smell the perfume, Asphalt Flower. I liked it, but I am very fussy about perfumes, so I think in the interest of saving money, I will pass on it.

Wow first off, the Deja Vu quad-- LMAOO!!! Now why hasn't mac thought of that yet- just get it over with and put them in one quad!
But back to this collection, can I say the L/S look like a total hit for fall. There are rarely any collections in which I want every. single. one. How am I gonna choose?

I want the Quad! Luckily, I don't have.. Deep Truth. -__-
And I want ALL the lipsticks and glosses.
I have to try the taupe l/s and coral one though. Hopefully it's not a Costa Chic repeat. D:

oh dear! my MIL doesn't buy me gifts at all... in fact i don't even get a birthday card from her!

I get frustrated with that because one of my main character traits is that I try to get to know people and understand them so that I can bless their lives by being someone who truly cares. I've never had family who was like that so I get a little frustrated at times. However, my most recent adopted daughter is like me and she is a joy in that regard. Tough otherwise as she's just like I was at her age and into trouble. LOL

Amen to that!
I do have a good and kind MIL who cares about me, she just doesn't understand me and what makes me tick and doesn't seem to try to. I get frustrated with that because one of my main character traits is that I try to get to know people and understand them so that I can bless their lives by being someone who truly cares. I've never had family who was like that so I get a little frustrated at times. However, my most recent adopted daughter is like me and she is a joy in that regard. Tough otherwise as she's just like I was at her age and into trouble. LOL

I don't have Deep Truth either but I have Blue Flame and they're very similar except Blue Flame has better texture. I think I'm gonna skip this quad, I guess I'm not a quad person. I can always justify a way not to get them :/

Elaine, how did you manage to avoid Deep Truth even though it came out in pretty much every other quad since last year? lol!
I don't have Deep Truth either but I have Blue Flame and they're very similar except Blue Flame has better texture. I think I'm gonna skip this quad, I guess I'm not a quad person. I can always justify a way not to get them :/
