I was pondering this same thought and I didn't find anything in my stash that will do the job. I also don't really see anything by MAC (currently available) that has the color I'm looking for, bummer. So I decided to search the MUFE liners at Sephora and found a few that might work. Check out 10c, 12c and 13c HERE. I'm thinking one of those might be just what I'm looking for!

12C. Gonna have to see a in person though, because that looks like nightmoth in the swatch. If I get it, you will be the first to know.

But , wow, MUFE has matte liners. Are the others creamy or something for them to specifically say matte?

I don't wear lipliners

Btw, I only wear dark lipsticks when I'm paler in fall and winter. I don't like dark lipsticks on me when I get a tan (with a combination of sun and fake tan I get A LOT darker, lol). So I don't think that being fair or dark makes the dark lipsticks any more wearable...prob I wear them more in cooler months coz I just enjoy darker colours in fall

I forgot to tell you my dh had my MA make me a purple quad to counteract my Hate for In the Gallery Quad...

It has the following in it

Shadowy Lady (he tried)
Purple Haze
Digit
Plum Dressing

It is really quite pretty

I saw this collection at my counter today. Faultlessly was too purple for me, but if straight up purple is what you're looking for you will LOVE it! Same with So This Season. I picked up Hipster l/s, which is more in the Kirsch color family, as well as New Berry and Runway Fave lipglasses. I really like Runway Fave alot - it's a milky, greyed, pinky-beige. To me C-Thru and Young Thing have more of a peach tone. I wanted to like Our Pick but it was just darker than I wanted it to be so I skipped it. I thought the quad was gorgeous and wished that blues and blue-greys worked on me!

I have no idea I never heard of it...he got it at Pro maybe it is a pro color???
