I am SOOO in love with "The Right Smoke" shadow this weekend. I've worn the quad two days in a row, Its just... the perfect colour for me *le sigh*... I haven't had much time for makeup lately but this weekend I finally made some time to play with it and.. the other shadows are nice but that's the one I am in love with completely!

I ordered the quad and now I'm waiting for it to arrive. And I was suppose to skip this collection! It seemed fairly unique though, I hope I'll like it!

I actually call that blue "Dupe Truth".

I'm loving So This Season l/g and the quad!! Faultlessly f/w lipstick is really dark on me, but sheered out it's a fantastic shade for fall.

PinkBasset - Let us know what you think when you get it!

I'm insane I know I love the "dupe truth" colour, lol There's just the little slight difference that I'm loving. I'm crazy but that's okay I accept it lol.

I'm hoping I can create this grey/bluish smoky eye I've been picturing in my head.

Again: Perfect for fall.

I agree! You can use it for so many looks, both neutral and more dramatic. And the blue shadow looks terrific paired with a bronze/gold, like Woodwinked or Amber Lights.

This sounds great, can you tell us where you put each colour? I am a bit makeup-challenged at the moment

Well, I sometimes use the white colour (A warmer white) as highlight and the lighter grey (is it called Tone:Grey?) all over, as a quick look if I'm in a rush. Phone Number to line and I'm good to go!

The blue shadow looks very nice in the crease with Woodwinked on the lid. You can also darken up the crease with Knight Divine, for instance.

Using the lighter grey on the lid, the blue shade in the crease with Waft (the darker grey) layered over it makes for a great look, too IMO.

Hope it helps!

Thought about getting the quad, but I ended up passing. I did pick up New Berry and So This Season l/g and LOVE them both! I even picked up a few compliments from the MAs when I went to do some shopping at the Boston freestanding store wearing New Berry.

Okay, so I got the quad and tried it couple of times. I sadly have to say I'm not a fan of it, I sure hope I'll learn to make it work for me. I tried it with a black base (Sharkskin s/s) and then with a neutral base (Bare Study p/p and then just studio sculpt concealer). With Bare Study it was useless! Weird, but there was no colour payoff at all, not even with Waft which I had already and has worked before. With Sharkskin the colours looked quite dirty on me, I don't get it! My skintone is neutral and I have brown eyes, so I usually look good with blues and greys. Maybe the black base had something to do with it?

The best look turned out with the concealer as a base using warmer white on the whole lid, Tone:Grey on outercorner darkened with Waft and I lined my outer lower lid with The Right Smoke. WW and TG are not the easiest to get to show up. I guess that is the main problem with this quad, the colour payoff. I'm not giving up on it though, I want to make it work! If you have any tips for me how to use it please share.

i wore tone grey yesterday and i like to use delft paint pot as a base with it. i've not had an issue with colour payoff but i tend to really pat my lid with the 239 brush so i get alot on there. the only colour that i'm not fussed about in the quad is the highlighter... it looks white-ish but the payoff on that is not good.

Thanks, I'm going to try it with Delft!

I agree that the highlight colour is the worst. I thought it was white looking from swatches, but it is an odd colour in person, not white for sure. Let's pat pat pat it on!

I'm glad to hear I am not the only one who struggles with this palette. I like it, but I have a hard time doing anything more than a kinda smokey blue/grey look (which is just ho-hum). I'll definitely be trying it with Delft for a bit of kick. Great suggestion!

Guess what Lou, I tried the quad with Delft paint pot as a base and IT ROCKED! Thank you so much for the recommendation - now I really got it to work for me!

I also didn't even try to use the Warmer White as a highlighter anymore, it looked much better just on lid paired with another highlight colour.

Now I want the Tone: Grey Quad! I saw it at my MAC store and swatched all of the colors. I liked them. Hopefully that I'll get it this time.

I put the ww on the inner lid and then the tone grey on outer lid, waft in the crease and the right smoke on outer corner. Then I used vex on browbone and tearduct. That was with the delft as a base. Next I'm going to try to add some brown to it, maybe wedge blended with the crease colour towards the highlight colour (maybe I try unbasic white as a highlighter next, or sugarshot). And I might try to line with a darker brown. I think adding brown with those colours could make the look even more glamorous and exciting!

Glad you like the quad better know. I wore it last week with green (swimming) and the greys with Blue Sorcery.
