I went to my local East Bay MAC this AM at opening time and Vamplified just launched, so they had everything. Not very many people came in looking for it either - only one other person while i was there, and i think i must have been in there almost an hour - and there were quite a few women in there buying stuff.
I had an... interesting... summer and i hadn't bought from any collections since Matte Lips in June. So i picked up a couple Electric Cool shadows, a Mineralize lipstick (love them!) and the big fluffy brush from Haute Dogs, and a couple Vamplifies, after testing a whole bunch of them.
I had already ordered She-Rebel the minute it launched on-line, because NO WAY was i going to miss it! It arrived yesterday but i haven't had a chance to try it yet. I planned on only getting one nude, but i needed to check them out. Turned out too many were too warm for me. Spanking Haute was way too orange on me. I ended up getting Anything But Demure. I couldn't resist looking at the deep dark colors, which are my sort of colors, and they're all beautiful, but they're too close to other lipsticks i have, and i need to buy less, so sadly i skipped them. Then i tested How Chic Is This? because, you know, i had to, because, you know, Team Purple. I figured it would be too bright and too pink for me, but whaddaya know, it was it's own bad self, so i got it, too.

I am so sad right now. I had had my eye on ABD since we had seen the swatches of this collection, but I totally missed the launch date. So I ordered Tuned In instead. I was on vacation this week so I shipped it to my mom's house. Meanwhile, my hotel was conveniently located near a MAC store so I was hoping to do a few swatches while I was gone, but those MUAS were tough and telling them I was flying out at 8am on launch day didn't help. So I am home, picked up my order from mom. Tried on Tuned In, love it, marched over to Macy's and Camp lift is there but no ABD. They even looked it the 'drawer' for me and no luck. So sad I missed that one, but at least I have a lip love in Tuned In.

I got Anything But Demure, and passed on the brighter shades. I don't think they had Little Miss Mischief or a couple of others. Certainly, it didn't look like they had 17 shades, but I spent the early hours of this morning moving to a flat which will cost more than my old flat and is much worse equipped, after a sleepless night, then I worked a half day, and THEN I went into town to look at the new collections and get my groceries, so I might not have registered all the colours. I'm really tempted to go back in tomorrow and pick up some of the brights, but I'm so tired that I may sleep through the whole day.

Not to hijack this thread but when I went online just now to look at the Vampify lipglosses, I noticed that there is a collection up called Look in a Box. Is there a separate thread for that on Specktra? I looked but I couldn't find one/didn't see it. Can someone could help my old eyes and point me in the right direction?

I have never used those sites before, but I just ordered ABD off of Nordstrom.com. Thanks for the tip!! The formula is really great. I want to get more colors, but I know ABD and Tuned In are the two that will get the most use from me.
