Do they always do singers? I was kind of hoping (and this may be a long shot) for someone like Laverne Cox! I was hoping they'd switch it up with someone a bit older.

Ditto. Miley just gives good face. I'm here for it, all the other nonsense that people dispise her for, it's not that deep for me. Her job is to sell some lipstick that's all I care about.

:bigthumb: Was there ever an Elizabeth Taylor VG? She did an awful lot of work for AIDS charities (not to mention having her own AIDS foundation) so she more than deserves it. I dunno how the VG spokesperson thing would work but I'd love to see a VG Elizabeth. VG needs its class back!  Actually, I'd love an entire Elizabeth Taylor collection    edit - gah! its, not is. I got overexcited lol.

I can't believe this is actually happening. Maybe she had talent before, but she's a complete hack now. Using what she thinks is "black culture" to advance her career. Please. All you can do is shake your head. Exactly!

Miley didn't write the book on that... That's been happening in pop culture and fashion for decades. But I'm not going to digress. This is going to be a big seller no matter what the opinion is.

My favorite Viva Glam ever was VG VI SE.. the Fergie one. The older VG's don't have the spokespersons signature on them so you just have to know who it was. I wonder why MAC decided to put the signatures on them? In the case of Miley I think it might sell better without it.

The Fergie collabe was my favorite too. The colors were different and interesting, both lipstick and lipglass. I still have and wear mine!

I don't think Miley is a bad person. Yeah she's probably overly sexual and posts about drugs but it doesn't make her an awful person. I especially admire her for the time at the awards show when she shed light on homeless youth.

I don't think she's a bad person, I just think her antics are ridiculously overblown and I find her obnoxious. We all know you're not Hannah Montana anymore.

I'm indifferent about Miley as spokesperson, excited about the color though. Have not seen a VG color so fun in a while. The gloss reminds me of an updated pink poodle.

I actually really dislike Miley. One of my best friend loves her though, and since it's Viva Glam I will most likely buy her the lipstick. I want them to pair with Katy Perry, but since she's now with cover girl I don't see that happening for many years if ever. I feel like Miley crosses a line.. I don't mind outrageous, but Miley just comes off as so attention desperate.

I also just wanted to put out there I really hope Taylor swift will never be the spokesperson for viva glam at least not till she gets more interesting like she use to be now she's " New York's welcome ambassador " totally changed her image and I'm not feeling it plus she's always wearing red lipstick so I imagine she would have some sort of red shade going on. I wish it could be Britney Spears. I love me some britney!

I use to like her when she first came on the scene with rain drops on my guitar and wore cowboy boots and cute girly dresses. I saw this interview where she tells people what New Yorkers call things like New York slang and when I heard her say " bodega .. A bodega is a corner store that's open all the time and you can find evrything there " I'm likeeee who are you speaking to? Everyone in New York knows what a bodega is and I'm pretty sure people from different states call corner stores bodegas lol idk she kinda urks me now

I can tell you I've lived all over the south and I'm in PA now (where TS is from). I've only heard New Yorkers call corner stores bodegas. I lived in Oklahoma and I asked for a doggy bag at a restaurant and I got the craziest looks. They really didn't know I meant a to go box. My accent changed so quick after that lol I was so embarrassed. When TS first came on the scene and I heard she was from PA singing country I thought she was so fake. When we were kids country was out but her songs are so catchy so I overlook the annoying things she does. Not to say that PA isn't country, because it is, but TS is a year older then me and rap and punk rock were popular at the time. Kids in my school got picked on if they liked country music.
