That's like saying "Oh well my friend is black so I can't be racist."
My thoughts exactly. Although I never heard much of Miley since that first performance where she twerked (or at least tried). My celeb gossip interest died a few years back thankfully. But an amplified bright pink? No thanks!

Lol!!!! I've shared my thoughts about Miley in previous posts. If this lipstick was something unique to me and I color I would like i'd be all over it unfortunately hot pinks don't really look good on me in my opinion so that's the main reason I'm skipping. I wasn't crazy about lady gags but I bought her lipsticks. I buy what I wear and I know I won't wear this.

I have no problem with people who are interested in this. People are entitled to their opinion and its going to a good cause. This just isn't for me for multiple reasons

Considering her producer's skin color, I'm not quite sure about that. But since I don't really care about the buzz surrounding her, I might have missed something. Why would I care or get annoyed about celebrities being in the media a lot? I don't feel like anybody is forced to watch. Her behavior doesn't affect me one bit.
Her producer being black has absolutely nothing to do with her being racist or discriminating. That choice was made by Miley's team to branch out into a new money market. I don't know whether the girl is racist or not and I truly don't care. What I do care about is the disrespect she has shown to other's cultures. Other than that she can twerk and hump teddy bears until her teeth fall out. Also, I think that having an opinion and being able to express it is freedom. Not accepting others opinions is close minded. Thankful to be amongst strong woman who speak their minds. Agreed or not!

Same...I hate Lady Gaga, bought her lipstick...I hate Rihanna, I bought her lipstick and lipglass, I hate Kelly Osbourne, bought her lipstick...and despite hating Miley, I will still buy the lipglass and maybe the lipstick.

I was referring to her being accused about racism towards black people only. Of course you can still hate on other cultures, countries etc., that's common sense.

I don't believe that her decision to branch out in another genre of music was her team's idea only. She's obviously a fan of that kind of music.
When someone has people in their life that are of different culture or heritage and is friendly with them, they're less likely to be racist towards whomever, at least that's what I've experienced.
Haven't found anything about her disrespecting any culture, but that incident in Mexico offended people, I understand that.

Personally I do care if someone is racist, because I'm not going to buy their product then.

I think you got me wrong when I mentioned that I found some comments on here close minded. Being close minded to me is when you don't even try to understand the opposite side, don't show acceptance etc.
I was more so referring to people that started bashing, like @PeachTwist mentioned. Specktra is always being so positive and that should apply to the content as well.
Sorry if you felt like I was addressing this to people stating their opinion.

I value every member's opinion on here and I wasn't trying to forbid anybody their freedom of speech!

Thank you for your response. Miley's racially insensitive antics don't stop my world from spinning. Ive been discriminated against my whole life. What she drinks doesn't make me pee. For lack of better words. I won't buy her products or support her at all. She can be as racist as she'd like without my coins. Putting her as the Viva Glam Spokesperson is like serving a filet mignon on a trash can lid. No thank you! I appreciate you giving clarity to your post. This is one of the many reasons why Specktra is so amazing!
I looked it up, her talking bad about Mexicans are allegations that were denied. Twerking with a Mexican flag is freaking weird, but if you think about how much she likes twerking it kinda seems more like appreciation to me (in a very, very strange way). To me personally, that is not offending at all, but then again I'm not patriotic or Mexican. I was referring to her being accused about racism towards black people only. "What she drinks doesn't make me pee."
Oh my goodness, I thought I was the ONLY one on this earth who said that! Every time I do, people are like, "Wtf does that mean?" and I have to explain.

Sassy…you make me dance.

Two cents about the flag twerking... Many countries find it offensive when people rub their body parts on the flag and deem it as blatant disrespect and an act of vandalism. Same goes for posing naked and wearing a flag as a representation, flag burning, stepping on a flag, etc. Whether she did that for attention on or not, it's a huge disrespect of basic international and business etiquette because she only did it live in front an audience without warning, and never did that stunt during rehearsal. In PR, she and her backup dancers wore some huge butt prosthetics or whatever it's called and started twerking like if it was for shock value. People weren't that impressed because of "perreo" and reggaeton culture in which "twerking" and being a "cafre" is a standard since forever ago. Big butts are nothing new in my country either, so I don't understand the whole fetishism about it like if it's the new fashion thang. The people on the front row and the security team probably died a little inside judging by the concert pictures, but news outlets warned concert goers to be prepared for anything crazy.
