I don't understand why a matte top coat for lips hasn't happened yet!

I know Mac doesn't have a matte lip top coat but MAKE does:

I have to go to the store. I just got icon and I want to compare

I've said it before - the lipglass is for everyone who loves beautiful gloss. I don't even understand T's poor rating. MAC never mentions sheer vs. opaque in its color descriptions of standard products. One look at the tube is enough for it to be obvious it'll be sheer and why would anyone want it any other way. If someone's not a gloss person, that I understand, but if you are OK with gloss even a little, you're going to take one look at this and swoon. It doesn't do much to lighten the lipstick or dramatically change its color - it just adds extra sparkling layers.

I got a chance to see the lipstick and lipglass in person yesterday and compare with icon. Yes, icon is much more brown. VGR2 is much more of a complex color IMO. I passed on icon after seeing VGR2 just because I think it's a more interesting shade that can work and change in appearance with many different liners. The lipglass was beautiful and I'm not a gloss person. Of course it's sheer, as plenty of lipglasses are, but it is so gorgeous and will reflect differently depending on how the light hits it and how you choose to layer it with other lipsticks. I'll be buying both!

She grosses me out and honestly pisses me off. Her going on about how she suffers from "anxiety" from wearing clothes...chick has no effin clue what it's like to suffer from anxiety. And honestly all her "OMG I'M SO SHOCKING LOOK AT ME KISS A GIRL AM I COOL YET THIS IS REALLY SHOCKING RIGHT" bs is just offensive. As someone who's supposedly a friend to the gay community, she does a great job making it all look like a rebellious phase. [bold]And yet...if she is a Viva Glam girl and the color is pretty I will still totally buy it like the sheep I am.[/bold]
Same... As much as I dislike her, I still would purchase products if she had a collection. I hate Rihanna, but I still bought RiRi Woo, Heaux, and her Viva Glam. Besides, we can definitely justify buying if it's Viva Glam, because it's not like the money is going to her, it's all for charity!

I love it - I had a chance to compare Icon and VG Riri 2. Icon is about two steps lighter and is more of a straight brown shade, without as much purplish undertone. I didn't find VGRR2 difficult to wear, but it's pretty dramatic for NC15. Icon is a color I could wear in most daytime situations, but VGRR2 would be for dressier situations on me. It's not vampy level dark, though. Good color to accentuate green eyes, that's for sure. It's going to be an amazing modern nude on darker skin that could be easily worn any time. If these colors are not really your cup of tea, a person will probably be ok with just one or the other (or neither).
Thanks Liba! Do you think icon and vgr2 are different enough to warrant both?

My two cents: she may not be my favorite celebrity, but to be honest most of my female idols are politicians or scientists who either don't wear makeup or don't get adventurous with it. I would need like a Jane Goodall collection or Madeline Albright... Not very make-up-y ladies. Also, it could be worse than Rihanna, pop-star-wise, it could be racially offensive and thoroughly gross Miley Cyrus, or orange Lindsey Lohan lol What I'd REALLY like to see are collections by the people who do these women's makeup! Rihanna's STYLIST should do the collection! Or have beauty bloggers like Karen from the makeupandbeautyblog do collections! Or famous drag queens! But if they want to get teenagers and young 20 something's (who have no money) to spend money on makeup, they need pop stars. Sigh

I draw the line at Miley Cyrus. I don't care if Mac was giving it away free, I don't want anything Miley. I don't like Rhianna's music whatsoever but I don't dislike her really so I did buy the products I liked from her line. I didn't buy one of the Gaga lipsticks even though I liked the color because Gaga is repellant to me too.

Keisha Kaior was Rhianna's MUA, no? She has her own line. There is nothing in this world that would make me look at any product with Miley's name on it, let alone buy. As for this product, I am still getting both. This is the collection for the brown girls, and I am here for it.

If it were just a regular collection I could understand, but 100% of the proceeds are going to a great cause, not the celebrity.

I have actually been wearing Caliente a lot lately! I got that and Sheer Seduction from Temp Rising last year and fell in love with the finish. I wish they'd make more Dazzle lipsticks. :sigh:
Me too! It is my second favorite finish (after matte). I wear these two all the time. I wore sheer seduction today

Soo excited about this lipgloss! I've never purchased anything from Viva Glam, but I definitely want this, it even looks so pretty just in the tube

I'm not a huge fan of Rihanna, but I do really like her style, especially her every day street wear, and the see through look she wore to the CFDA fashion awards-- flawless imo. The money is going to a good cause though, and that's what is really important ^-^ (& those sparkles! ;D)
