as promised, here's a quick comparison of Studio Fix Fluid and Studio Sculpt.

SFF is in NC30 and SSF is in NC35

In case you cant tell, Studio Fix in NC30 on the left, Studio Sculpt in NC35 on the right.

.... I looooove this stuff so much! Last night I went to one of our local TV stations to do some filming for my college cable channel show... and im pretty good friends with the meterologist... and he was like "Dickson I havent seen you in like.. 3 weeks.. you look GREAT" and I was like "gee thanks Ric...... Ive been tanning." and he goes "no you look... airbrushed. Is that weird for a guy to say? You look like summer." I was cracking up... then Brent (some of you might remember brent lol) ...a "friend" who works there in editing came up and was like "I read on facebook that you switched foundation."

... that was all he said but at least he noticed something about me switchng foundation... and Ric is hilarous because he actully WEARS MAC... He wears SF Powder in NW30 when he's on-air...so he thinks he some big MAC foundation expert... I told him he couldnt do the Studio Sculpt on-air though because of how dewy it is.. it'd make him look shiny on camera...

But I couldnt wait to get back and tel you girls my experience haha.. I just love how two GUYS noticed a difference

So funny! What brush are you guys finding gives the best results with this foundation? Day 2 and still no breakouts....I don't know what I think about the concealer, though....seems to get a little cakey under my eyes....I'm also wondering if I should have gotten NW15 instead of NC15 for the concealer to better cover up the dark circles...going to see...

Since you have extremely dry skin, I wouldn't recommend the Nude foundation. But if you insist on trying it, please get a good moisturizer. The foundation dries really quickly and has only a slight glow in the beginning of the day on my oily skin. I even mix a bit of moisturizer with the foundation just so I can blend it and work it into my skin without it drying as quickly. Definitely get a sample if you can.

Thanks for the information. I'm gonna try (gulp) this one http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?upc_ID=1213941&ID=298528&Quantity=1&EXT RA_PARAMETER=BAG&PseudoCat=ba-xx-xx-xx.index#reviews

Thank you, that one got good reviews on Sephora.
Do you spray it directly on your face or on a brush?

What kind of powder do you use with the Studio Sculpt to set it? I have oily skin so I was wondering how blot powder would work with this? Has anyone tried that... or has any good suggestions? Thanks!

How many months does it last before it expires?

it depends on how often and how much you use it but you should be able to use the entire bottle without it going bad. but again, it just depends on how you use it.

you can do either hun. if you mix the two it'll take down the coverage of the SSF, so it'll make it more sheer to medium.

but if you layer them, you'll get the dewiness even more but still keeping the medium to full coverage.

blot's gonna be your best bet. however, you'll have to touch up since you're oily and its a dewy finish.

Thanks, Erine! I think I am going to go to the store over the weekend and try out the NW15 concealer.....I would really feel bad returning the one I bought, but I've never returned before and I definitely wasn't intending to with this! Also, what is the best brush to use to really get full coverage with the foundation? How much do you need to use? People are saying a pea sized amount is really sufficient, but I don't think I'm finding this.....

Honestly Ive been "painting" it on with my 190.. then buffing it out with my 181!.... I find it works best to buff it out because of how gelly it is... so I dont end up with lines..

and thanks erine for the advice!

... I actually like it better over the strobe creme....I def still have that dewiness... and i <3 it!

I wanna love this foundation, but I dont

I got a sample of NC30, the shade is perfect for me. When I just apply it to my face it looks really nice. But after an hour or so I am all shiny!!! I have oily skin and did set it up with MSFN one day and with blot powder the other day. Same result, feels really great on skin, shade is perfect, but oil is showing so much

Oh, well, still looking for HG foundation for myself.

studio sculpt seems to make me break out. my break outs are down now, so i'm going to try it on again for a few days to really see if it is the foundation breaking me out. but the saddest thing is, when i went back to studio fix, i noticed that i really do not like the finish anymore. now i might need to find new foundation.

I noticed the same thing in regards to stuio fix fluid. After wearing studio sculpt I felt that Studio Fix Fluid felt so heavy on my skin.

It irks me that I love everything MAC and that I cannot make one of their foundations work for me.

Do you ladies think it's ok to exchange the foundation w/o the box? I think I stupidly threw it away, but the color just isn't right...I got it at nordies and I bet they've got it in their system but I don't want to look tacky or anything...

Do you have a receipt? I would just return it without the box. I mean you weren't intending to exchange it....so why wouldn't you throw the box away?

I don't think it's a biggie.

As long as you have the receipt, it would be exceptionally silly for anyone to give you grief about not having the box. I, for one, throw boxes as soon as I open up a new product - even if it just means I chuck the box across the room for my boyfriend to find and love later.

if you're wanting the fullest coverage, try the 191. the 190 is my hate foundation brush.

once the 191 came i was angry at the 190 for coming out first. why couldn't it be the 191 and just the 191?
ssad.gif

and you shouldn't need more than a pea, maybe a pea-n-a-half for the whole face. i've done a pea on customers and had leftovers, so it just kinda depends on the look you're going for.

I totally agree with this. I use about half a pea (up to 3/4 of a pea lol) for my whole face. I used to squeeze out a pea size and have leftovers so now I squeeze out half a pea size and then squeeze more out if I need to. Because of this, I feel like one tube'll last me forever
