And yeah I read that a lot of people were breaking out but, to be honest, I dont think im going to have a problem *knocks on wood*... as moxy will tell you, I somehow got blessed with AMAZING skin.. I never break out.. I never even wash my makeup off unless im in the shower and going to re-apply when I get out.. Ive gone DAYS without washing my makeup off and all I use to wash it off is water and baby shampoo on my eyes. LOL.

So I ended up ordering the NC35... which im really excited about... because Im getting REALLY tan and im pretty 100% sure im going to need a 35 instead of my regular 30. hmmm

I also ordered some strobe creme to mix with it based on Chad's post... also because i like my foundation more "illuminating"... and im getting sick of the matte of the SFF....

Then I just picked up some more retrospeck eyeshadow, blacktrack fluidline, and the 266.

$123 with overnight shipping later, Im feeling good about my purchases and excited to be "back to mac" haha

i dont know who i got it from.. my little brother has ridiculous acne.

when i was 10 weeks pregnant i had HORRIBLE zits all over my face so im assuming a lot of it has to do with hormones.....

I dont even notice when people have zits of acne really.... because i dont have it i dont notice it on myself... whereas people who have it notice it on thmselves and then notice it on other people.. but its not something i think about so its not something i notice on other people.. it suprises me how often my girlfriends complain about their skin and i really have to re-look at them and go "oh i guess they're right".... because i just NEVER notice it.

I guess you're right. Self-consciousness makes us extra sensitive and alert to every minute detail.

Yep. It's really not fair how gorgeous some people are. But I forgive Melissa

And she's a naughty girl, she goes to bed with her make up on. You're asking to be spanked right there!

I've been using this for a week and my breakouts (which have been pretty constant the last couple of years) have actually subsided. Having said that, I recently started a BCP for my acne, but was still breaking out while using my other foundation. So, for the time being, I'm actually quite happy I switched over to this. I also like that it washes off fairly easily while still lasting through most of the day.

Me too! It'll be a helluva lot cheaper than LM's translucent powder, in Canada anyways.

This is good to know! Thanks to you and Rbella. I was considering trying this but it doesn't sound like it's worth the trouble for the cost. I stopped using LM's oil-free because it didn't have good staying power.

For me, I find this stuff works best when sheered out somewhat, so while it has medium coverage applied this way, i still needed some concealer to cover up my blemishes (Maybelline Mineral Power i think it's called). Without concealer, it does lessen the redness a little, but the bump still shows through.

Moxy, I have an important question to ask you. Should I get Dainty, or should I wait for the Dainty lookalike in the Grand Duos collection (is it moon river, or...)?

You are so lucky that you have such great skin and I have to admit that I am slightly envious!

I am having such a love hate relationship with the foundation. When I put it on I love the way it looks but my skin seriously hates it. I keep thinking that my skin will get used to it but so far that is not the case. I don't want to take it back but I know that I should.

MUFE still has my heart. Dior is awesome, and armani is pretty swell too

I'm thinking about trying a Dior foundation, which one do you like?

^I've only used Dior Forever but I really like it. It has the same staying power (or maybe even slightly better) than SFF, leaves a matte finish and covers really well. It's a lot lighter than SFF and smells better too
winks.gif
If you want more of a natural glowy finish and not matte get the new Nude foundation, I've heard rave reviews of it

That range have .. well not the same colors in it? not sure how to describe it but, if you can, it sure is a good thing to get at a store and matched properly. More then one people changed shade with that one and some stayed with the same so.. yeah. Just not the same color.

Seriously I'm sad for the people it doesn't go well with that foundation. Well I hope you find your HG foundation soon!

Capmorlovesmac........ can I pls steal your studio squeeze smiley... ? it's so horny, I love it!!! LOL.
and like the foundation a lot too...

I will try the Nude one. I have extremely dry skin due mostly to my meds (2 years ago it was so greasy you could fry chicken on it and now its gone to the other extreme), I was thinking about trying Dior Capture Totale Foundation but its so expensive.

Sorry I don’t know what SFF means?

OK, I know that this is not the right thread for this post, but I did post in another one as well. I want to clean up some new brushes (including the 109 I want to use for Studio Sculpt application!) and I was wondering how you all clean new brushes. Do you use a simple brush cleanser (I have the one from Clinique) or do you deep clean with baby shampoo or something of the sort?

I always use brush cleanser AND baby shampoo after each use because
1) I'm OCD
2) Baby shampoo prevents the brushes with white bristles from being stained AND it softens the bristles so much!

Thanks, Shoegal! But, for brushes that haven't yet been used, do you think it's necessary to clean with both brush cleaner and shampoo? This is coming from someone who never thought to clean new brushes in the past...lol...
