MAC X Julia Petit Collection (March 18-19, 2015)

I'm an introvert too... it's so easy once you find 'Your" I now have 28. I'm kind "disgusted" by them all, b/c once I start swatching... they look the same. LOL

we should have a thread dedicated to finding Our first red. I tried a few, but the one I fell in love with was Runaway Red... that baby right there! *sigh* LOL

Reds.... Love them so much and hardly wear them these days. I feel like red is such a power colour and I don't want to be intimidating my coworkers and clients lol!!! My favourite red is probably Absolute Power from the Strength collection. If I had to save one red from a burning fire, it would be that one!

That's what I thought. I start work at 9:30 and was on the train for both MAC and Macy's Cindy launches.

Dads.... what do they know? lol. I'm sure you looked lovely. Sugar Plum Fairy is one of my faves but it is such a strong colour you definitely can try to play down the eyes and blush so they don't overpower each other (unless that's what you want to do lol) Reds.... Love WNW SPF! Reds, I like how they look but I don't rush to buy them. My reds consist of RiRi Woo (stick and glass), her VG1 (stick & glass) another MAC glass from years ago (can't remember the name) and the WNW reds (Fergie Saraghina, Red Velvet, etc). It was my breakout color in elementary school. Back then when you wanted to try lipstick for the first time, you wanted LIPSTICK, so red was the first choice and anything else noticeable! For me anyway. I've branched out a whole lot since then, at one time I wore only nude glosses, I have so many, but since 2013 I've been trying to rock lipsticks and different colors.

Don't know if this is the right place but today is my birthday! As a present to myself I just bought the limited edition Nordstrom palette.  They are all prm. colors but a great select of nudes to add to your arsonal at a great price

I would love to see how Petit Red compares to Relentlessly Red and All Fired Up on swatches. I'm hoping it will be similar to one of those two lipsticks since I love the colours of them but I don't like the dryness of retromattes so haven't boughten them for that reason. Been holding out for an LE satin version of the colour to come out so hoping I've found that in Petit Red. Fingers crossed I can snag it!

I compared Petite Red to All Fired Up on Temptalia's swatch comparison. I think they are too close for me to buy PR. I actually like the slightly pinker tone that AFU has, so that settles that one for me. I am also going to skip Acai for similar reasons. I have Rebel and Fashion Revival and with the new Nightingale lip pencil under FR, it looks like what I approximate Acai would look like on me. The only one I question now is Boca... some swatches appear to have the nice pinky tone I want but others look to have a more brown hue. I think it is safer to skip but I am heading out to run some errands near a MAC counter so I am going to see how Brave swatches on me as it looks to be quite close to Boca in the swatches.

Thank you so, so much for this information! So Nordstrom is not getting this online and it's only in select locations. Sigh. First post says the collection is also limited to 'select MAC stores.' I'm sorry I'm sure this is old news to everyone. Sounds like Bao Bao II to me (or maybe even more limited cause Nordstrom had Bao Bao sort of). Well, good thing I'm not counting on any "must haves"!
