I think they are making a mountain out of a molehill, like the weather people have been known to do. I just finished looking out the window. There isn't much going on outside right now. They have changed their forecast, totally flipping who is supposed to get the most snow. I won't mind it so much if they at least admitted that there has been a change from their predictions all day yesterday; that they totally flipped their forecast ... but, no. They never like to admit that they were wrong, ever. I worked yesterday, then headed off to Meijer to get some groceries before the "big snow storm" hit us. Well, once in Meijer, I was shocked by the total lack of fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy and the total lack of hamburger, ground turkey, etc. I have never seen anything like it before. We're Michiganders, we haven't had a ton of snow lately, but we have had a long history of big snow storms. By the way the Meijer shelves looked in a portion of their store, you would think we had never seen snow before. Well, at least Meijer had stellar sales yesterday, even though they were probably so tired by the time they got home from work yesterday.

U are so right I'm looking out the window right now its snowing but not what I expected u are so right this crazy michigan weather and tommorow its supposed to be 1 outside omg.yes because we have not had the big snow like we used to have everybody all panicking including me lol I used to could drive in the snow like a pro but the last couple of years it really have not snow so much

We already have at least 5" on top of the 7" we got earlier in the week and it's coming down hard! And we haven't even hit the hardest part of the snowfall. I do have to admit that I love a snow day. I am getting some much-needed cleaning done on my apartment, as well as having some fun watching movies and playing with my lipsticks!!!

I refused to go out into that nonsense, but a bunch of my friends did and were posting pics on facebook, and there were even some pics on the local weather stations' facebook pages. Every single grocery store looked like that :nods: Plus the colts game was yesterday, so if people weren't at the game, they're were buying food and beer to watch the game. Pure insanity!

just my humble opinion.. but MAC's latest products have been long on names (RiRi et al) and cost, but short on innovation.

I say this because there is better and more innovative technology for products which are not being used because they are cashing in on the hype for Rihanna (remember she gets paid a hefty amount for her endorsements). I am frankly and personally disappointed with the offerings recently.
I personally don't feel that dark purple or black lips are not really flattering on anyone -- some are young and lucky to pull this off.

I've got to agree that MAC is going after a certain audience with the black lipstick and pop stars, that's for sure. It's a little obvious, at best and a little tacky at worst. The problem is, when they do bring out something with new tech, there are so many makeup fuddy duddies (old and young) out there who get bent out of shape because it's not something like what they've already grown used to over the past 10+ years. Then the products don't sell. I'm thinking about the Electric Cool shadows that were so smoothing, vibrant and long wearing, right off the top of my head. We'll see how well these Huggable Lip Colours fare - that's a great product that probably won't sell that well because people still reminisce over those old-hat Tendertones.

Add to it, the median age for MAC buyers is actually women in their late 30's-40's, it's no wonder MAC is doing all these contortions to lure in a younger customer base. Younger girls don't seem to be as interested in modern tech, either. Let's face it, the tech innovation is at its most dramatic for women who use makeup to hide the effects of time, so no wonder a young girl isn't necessarily going to see how amazing it is - god bless 'em!

Anyhow, after Rihanna, there are precious few pop stars that could generate her level of buzz, so maybe things will calm down and we'll finally get that real innovation instead! I am still waiting for my flocked velvet lips, baby!!

Lots of snowballs. Its been so hot that the sun was blinding me with my sunglasses on when I was driving. I got a new jacket couple months ago that I have not been able to wear. This weather been so crazy hot lately, and dry because of the lack of and below average rain fall. Causing all that red flag warning.

I don't even want to say the weather we've been having in Cali because you all would throw snowballs at me! Stay safe and warm my friends :hug:
