MAC x Proenza Schouler (April 24, 2014)

I am so glad to hear about this. I really like Proenza Schouler. First, reading the link I thought maybe this wouldn't be brown girl friendly, but the more I read, the more hope I got from it. Really excited to see the color story.

When reading (and looking at the model) that was my first thought exactly, lets hope there's something for everybody

Very Excited over here! I would think from the look of the Proenza Schouler S/S 14 Catwalk that it may be full of neutrals? I would hope with the collection being launced in April it owuld tie in with the s/s 14 catwalk? The Make Up design by MAC for the show was called Raw Beauty. The Models all looked pretty fresh faced with plenty of beautiful nude lippies. EDIT: Just read an interview with Diane Kendal here - http://tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/02/14/backstage-beauty-q-and-a-with-diane-kendal/?_r=0 She mentions that they used "A Mac Lipstick called Red Statement on the cheeks" I have never heard of Red Statement, could that be an upcoming shade?!

Tecnically, the pearlmattes were made for use all over the face, and not for blush, and as with the archies collection, blushes were also a part of the collection. How people actually use them are a separate story altogether.

Well, from looking at Proenza Schouler's usual runway face look, the skin is always nice but natural and the cheeks are just barely tinted, so an ombre that transitions from all-over color or highlight to a gentle contour color or nude blush makes the most sense. If this is coming in April, it won't be the huge spring collection. Doesn't that one usually come at the beginning of Feb.?

If you ever need a new pair of those lashes, Sugarpill has a pair that's very close. I kinda wish I had gotten Elude, but it was too expensive for my liking and I now have Forever Marilyn that I love. Restrict looked too pale for me. I can't do nudes very well
