This is after reapplying it. It defintily does make my lips feel drier than other Lustres, they felt and looked ''crinkly'' after wearing it for an hour or so. But maybe I'm just having a bad lip day, so take that with a grain of salt.

I'm so dissapointed. I'm barely liking anything. Not even making it to my 2 items per collection haul #lowbuy

Has the quality of the brushes declined since Mac started making them in China?   I was tempted to pick up a 287 at my CCO and noticed it had a loose ferrule.  I looked at the handle and it was made in China.  I haven't bought a brush in ages and they're all holding up well but all made in France or Japan. Agreed.  Mine has gotten more scratchy as time has passed.
I have 20yr brushes with a lose ferrule. You could've just gotten one that didn't get enough glue.

Thanks for the swatches Naynadine, looks like that will be a skip after all, too beige for me.
Ditto. It looked cooler and more mauve in one of the swatch photos earlier, but I think it's going to be much too warm for me to pull off. I'm hoping that Primrose has more purple/ plum in it and that it doesn't just show as brown. Still thinking about that one.

I got my hands on Woodrose and took some pics, but since I have no idea where my DSLR is all I can offer is crappy phone camera quality. Most pics turned out blurry. Sorry!  It says it's a Lustre and it only contains 3g, so it's a regular lisptick, not a Mineralize one. Chanel Evanescente, High Tea, Woodrose, Marquise D, YSL Beige Tribute same order as above To me it's a very beige nude, not that much pink in there. No shimmer at all and it's the sheerest of all the shades I swatched there. It feels a teeny tiny bit dry on my lips. Marquise D is peachier-pinker, the difference is bigger in real life, the pic doesn't really show it. Sorry again for the poor quality. I didn't even bother with watermarking the pics, lol. The packaging feels nice and heavy, I love it!
That's a beautiful nude. If I needed more nudes I would buy it.

If you are NW 10-20, don't bother with Woodrose at all. I swatched it last week in the hope that it would be a good (replacement) dupe for my beloved Tropical Mist, but IMO it doesn't work on NW beauties at all. Actually, the beige base color is not the issue. In fact, beige can be very flattering on pale NW complexion. The problem is the yellow-peachy undertone that appears on application (even with pigmented lips - and a lot of pale NW have pigmented lips). The undertone gets stronger when the shine disappears and you are left with a yellow-toned tint similar to an NC concealer. In a nutshell, if you are a pale NW, definitely skip as most likely, it won't be flattering at all - or at least try it in store (and leave it on for a while), before you commit to buy it.

On the other hand, if you are a pale to medium NC, this might be a very flattering nude - but be prepared to frequently reapply (as it is the case with most l/s in this formula) as it's true beauty comes with the sheen when it is freshly applied. HTH.

Hmm, that's me (NC), but that NC concealer on lips does not sound good. I'm not into nudes really, so it's a pass for me. Thanks, Mac-Guy!

Actually, I was thinking about you when I wrote the post.* Red hair and pale NC complexion - Woodrose might be a very nice nude on you, especially if you add a tiny bit of gloss!

Re the NC concealer-lip-issue: If I compare Woodrose with Tropical Mist, TM seems to be more emollient. Whatever is in TM formula-wise is missing in WR. For me, TM is the perfect blend of Lustre and Glaze, at least this is how it feels on my lips. I've gone through two TM already (I still have more BUs), but I was hoping to find a replacement soon. Maybe later this year. I'm hopeful.

* Liba, you also want to check out WR.

I will keep it in my mind and check out the swatches. I don't think we'll get this collection though, so I won't be able to see it irl.

If in doubt, then pass. It is usually the right decision, especially with nudes.

Hm, I'm NW and it works on me.

I would call it a true beige nude, it's not as pink toned as the description ''light pink with beige'' suggests, but it's not yellow toned either IMO, it's pretty neutral. No concealer lips either, it's no that pale.
