how is scarlet ibis? I always seen it and never picked it up but I think I saw it on a customer of mine & loved it on her...I'm like a light tan with hazel eyes, Lady danger kind of washes me out so if it's like that I know to avoid it
It's red. It's orange. It's matte. It's perfect!

I have heard it said MAC Red is close to SI, but I disagree. SI is so much better, the finish is infinitely preferrable to MAC Red which I find quite drying and uneven in the application.

Who said the two were similar!? No way, no how! MR is a fuchsia-red, and SI is an orange-red. Even if the finishes were the same they wouldn't be close to each other! I completely agree with you 100%! I hate MR anyway

SI is close to Lady Danger! If not the same, I can't remember.

I am looking at SI and really liking it. But, can someone please give me their honest opinion on whether or not they feel it'll work on my NC44 skintone? I see pics online of girls with what looks to be a similar tone to mine and it looks lovely but i'm a bit afraid of orangey reds. What lip pencil (if any) can be used to tone it down a notch? Sorry if my questions are silly. TIA!

I'll be honest. I've only worn it once and it was absolutely terrifyingly bright. I was also new to lipstick so I may be less afraid of it now. Today I'm wearing Ablaze if that says anything. I remember walking through the mall seeing people stare at me. I texted CartoonChic in a panic. One SA did compliment me on it. I can't say if I looked good or bad. I couldn't read the stares I was getting. I took them to be bad b/c people weren't smiling at me they were just gawking. CC said it was b/c I looked gorgeous.

I hate those kind of stares. You're not sure if to give them the same stare back, smile or curse them out lol. Thank you for sharing tho!

It was just really bright. I think I looked good, but I'm not sure if my lipstick did if that makes sense. I'm used to people looking at me in public spaces, but this time was different. I don't think I was imagining it. My daughter was with me and she said I looked pretty, but was unsure about the lipstick.

Here's my friend wearing it with redd l/l (the perfect liner for SI) and she's an NC44. http://youtu.be/k6Lp6n41mc8

I'm NC50 and I wear it with Brick lip pencil, because it leans very orange on me. I love it with that combo. It's the perfect bright, orangey-red.
