At this rate i would rather Erine and all you lovely ladies to either stop posting early photos/info or just private message to those who you know for sure wont just take it and plaster it everywhere. Id rather just wait for mac to send out the official photos out and get excited then because posting early photos now just seems to bring drama and isnt fun to browse thru the threads anymore. Maybe its just me

No, you're right. It is very repetitive. I do understand the anger because people are getting info from their industry friends who will be in trouble if it's determined that they are the leak. The last plan I knew of was to put this stuff in the paid subscription section, but that didn't go over very well, so it's back to the drawing board. For those on the outside, though, the fighting gets old. I feel you. Not sure what to suggest though, because the early info is what keeps people coming to these threads.

I really disagree with you. I love to see the early information. It makes MAC so much more exciting for me and it's probably half the reason I buy so much MAC. I don't care about occasional discussion of stealing pics, it's easy enough to skip over if it bores you so much.

Honestly I can understand why the pm'ing didn't work. It doesn't bother me but I'm not particularly sensitive to that kind of stuff. Maybe we could just leave it at the guessing games with no actual color story posted after. Let people dig. They'll still be pissed but it might help with the stealing. As for product pics and early swatches maybe we could do without those. I hate to say it and I appreciate all the info you give greatly but you have to protect yourself and your connections.

I think we would all understand if that's what you had to do, given all of the drama associated with it. I'm sure it takes some of the fun out of sharing information when you have to deal with thieves and weirdos. I really appreciate you sharing with all of us though and for all of your advice and wealth of information!

I don't think anyone particularly likes having the theft conversation and I don't think anyone finds it particularly entertaining, it has just unfortunately become a hot topic from time to time because some people are lurking in the rafters and taking even though it is being expressly asked through watermarking for them not to take it. It's irritating even to myself who isn't even the one having the image taken from because it's just plain wrong and it will eventually effect us all in the long run. When no one is posting advance news of collections anymore for fear of being ripped off whether it be promo pics, swatches, colour stories or even release dates, these threads are going to be mighty dead. I like seeing colour stories and images beforehand because I can then start forming better lists and I enjoy all the excited chit-chat about collections. If it isn't someone getting upset over the conversation of theft coming up more than once, it's people getting mad that people ask the same thing over and over again or people who get mad when the thread veers a bit off topic etc. I for one really appreciate people like Erin, Naynadine and others who find info and are kind enough to share it with the rest of us, because they sure don't have to.

I agree. I need this early information to be able to save up for the stuff I want. Without it, I'm kinda screwed and won't be able to buy much. There's gotta be a way to still have the color stories at least, and without having to pay for it, cause that is more than I can afford.
