me too! But since the manager was kinda taken back and after hearing that Dillards dept store are veryyyyy picky about that I got sad thinking that I might not get it thanks babe! Ok good to hear. This is at a Dillards counter and I have heard that they real particular about that so I don't know. I'm hoping all is good cuz the manager was kinda taken back on the purple thanks babe!

I've seen a guy with a mohawk, a girl with pink hair and another girl with green to blue ombre hair at Mac. You should be fine, if they dont accept you its their loss!

Arrrrr Hun well done !!!! By the way mac girls here in the uk at my local colour have weird piercings or coloured whacky hair even the man does when the man is there ( actually not seen an for ages) Anyhow it's discrimination if they don't hire you I think you be fine )))) ️Hugs xxx

It all depends on if you'll be considered a MAC employee or a Dillards employee. Nordstrom's MAC counter people are considered Nordstrom employees and must obey, to an extent, Nordstrom dress code. When i worked at MAC i was at a Macys counter, but we were MAC employees, and didn't have to follow anything Macys, so... But I'm not sure how it is with Dillards. If they're considered Dillards employees, then your blue hair may be an issue unfortunately.

Honestly, I think you'll be be fine. I live in a pretty small, conservative city in Texas and an employee at my dillards mac counter has black hair with purple and lavender streaks.

Me too! But this was at a Macys counter where I've noticed they are more leanenant about that sort of stuff. I will find out soon enough but in all honestly I would be heartbroken if I was denied the position thanks babe! :kiss:

I'm hoping! I found out yesterday that in certain aspects dillards can be MORE stricked compared to Nordies supposedly due to the fact of Dillards owners religion. Thanks babe I'm hoping all will be ok :kiss:

Oh ok ya see I didn't know that. I found out yesterday that in certain aspects Dillards can be more strict when it comes to things like that cuz of the owners religion. The day of the demo interview she said I was dressed to the part just that my leggings were a little bit too faded for her liking and I had a red bracelet and that was a no no. Oh! Also my nail Polish was chipped and that's also not good. She did not mention my hair but her face said it all that day she saw me lol. How should I approach this should I just wait for them to maybe or maybe not tell me anything oooorrrrrr ask myself? I appreciate it hun helping me out. Might be silly but this has been bugging me since that day. Thanks babe :kiss: :kiss:

If it's an issue she'll tell you. She already mentioned the faded leggings (which is definitely a bad thing. Stock up on black fabric dye) and the red bracelet (another big no-no! Absolutely no colour whatsoever other than on your face!), and the polish (nails mist be polished and groomed at all times), so if there's any other issues with your dresscode then she'll mention it. It may have just been a personal issue she had with your hair colour, which if it is, she has absolutely no right to say anything to you about it. And if she does, she in the wrong 100%. Her feelings towards your haircolour have no bearing on whether you get the job or not, as long as it's washed and groomed daily. It'sspecifically stated in the dresscode that hair can be any colour (unless of course, as i mentioned earlier, you're considered a Dillards emp), so if she personally doesn't like it, that's her problem.

Wow Erine thanks for the info and advice also for taking the time to reply back. You are definitely right. I would hope she would had mentioned it with the other things she did if there was a problem. Before my 3rd interview *crossing fingers* I will get a manicure and I have already taken off that bracelet thanks again Erine much much appreciated here's to hoping that I am considered a MAC employee and that I get the job! LOL
