Hmm, I pulled out my normal Plumful to wear yesterday and it has a light dusting of snow. It wasn't covered in snow when I bought it, which was May of last year. The used portion of the lipstick is fine and snow-less. I wanted to order snake Cockney and snake Plumful if it restocked, but now I'm not sure. I was going to wear Cockney since I don't already own it and keep Plumful as a collector item for the snake design. There's no point in doing that if it's going to end up covered in snow.

I like Lustres because they're so easy to wear. They're like a more pigmented and creamy lipgloss in lipstick form to me. But I don't want to buy special Lustres if they're all going to end up covered in snow. I may still get snake Cockney to wear since it's the same price as normal Cockney.

Did any WOC with deeper skin tones receive Shell Pearl yet? What are your thoughts?


EDIT: I just checked all of my Lustre lipsticks. Just about all of them are covered in snow!

Venus and Cut a Caper are the only two that are fine. I feel it's only a matter of time before they have snow coats, too. I recall the snow conversation in another thread (can't remember which one). I'm still planning to wear them. I'll wipe them with alcohol unless someone has more info about the development of snow. I think someone mentioned something about a chemical reaction, which may be a bad thing?

Do you have extreme temperature changes where you live? Of the lippies in your list I have Pink Popcorn, Plum Bright and Fire Sign. Only Plum Bright has a light dusting of snow. I can't think of any other reason why. My Venus and Cut a Caper are fine too btw.

YES and YES! I freaking love highlighters and especially at night, I want an IN YOUR FACE highlighter! I always get compliments like, "you look so well-rested!" "Your skin looks so good!" I just silently respond with a humble "thank you", but I really want to say "It's the HIGHILIGHT, BABY!!"

Whoa! I have See Sheer which I bought in 2011 from another country (tropics), Cut a Caper and Venus which I got from MAC and Nordies in 2012 and they are all fine, at least for now. I hope they won't turn snowy too. Maybe it's a batch production thing?

There's hinestly nothing wrong with the snow. It's the same thing that happens with chocoloate over time. Doesn't make the chocolate bad or unsafe to eat. Just visually unappealing. If it were unsafe, cosmetic comoanies would be reauired to pull these items from their shelves after a certain period of time.

My shell pearl will be here Thursday as per my order tracking! I will do swatches on my skin. There does not appear to be any swatches of any items swatched on here from Mac recent collection, sadly! Not sure why? lol

So shell pearl arrived friday. I LOVE the packaging (sleeve). It is so cool. I wish MAC would've made it it ON the products though. I might have paid over the regular special packaging price ($1.50 now? so $2-$3?)

I have almost all of these too. I just looked and mine and only F ire Sign had the "snow" so I promptly put the rest in the fridge and wiped off FS. I figure I better start using. Feb is a good time to start wearing I think.

I checked all mine too. Viva Glam Cyndi and Viva Glam V had some crystals on them. I wiped everything with alcohol.

I keep all of my lipsticks in the same place in a closet. There are temperature changes, but the closet stays generally the same temperature since it's closed off. I can't explain why Venus and Cut a Caper don't have snow when they're all stored in the same place. I bought Fire Sign at the same time, so it's even more weird.

I'm just going to wipe with alcohol and keep using them.
