I think it's because the items in this collection are all repromotes. But I haven't really been able to find swatches of Shell Pearl on deeper skin from prior releases. I look forward to photos!

Shell Pearl is just okay on me. I think it looks really pretty in the pan though. Very Peachy/Gold.
I really liked the look I put together today:
Eyes: Nubile Paint pot on lid, Chanel Abstraction on lid, Aztec Brick on outer half of lid, Altered State in crease applied with 286 brush, Carbon in outer V, Once Upon a Time to highlight, Lancome Artliner in black on upper lashline, Carbon tightlined
Cheeks: Chanel Frivole (orangey) with Chanel Mouche highlighter at first but then I remembered there was a highlighter with this collection so I added the Shell Pearl
Lips: Cockney
This look may be similar a look posted earlier in this thread but I couldn't quite remember the placement of the colors and I remembered I liked Christine of Temptalia's look with these shadows as well. I couldn't remember if she used Aztec Brick or Altered State in the crease. I decided to try Altered State.
As for the lips, I thought a more warmer lip look would work better. I tried Apres Chic, Fire Sign and a few others I can't recall and Cockney looked best after all.

Awe... Thank you hon!! I appreciate these swatches! Although, I'm darker than you! You are the darkest tone I've seen with good swatches!! I need to get the three shadows now! I got my Shell Pearl today! It looks very sheer and subtle on NC 30 with a pretty peach-gold sheen. It would work as and all over for me instead of a highlighter for certain areas. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow!

I know I found that out AFTER it sold out with the snake embossing. I don't look at names when I USE to go to the counter or store... everything looks gross because its used and I get tunnel vision. Never looked at names. It must have been a color that just never caught my eye before. Thats why MAC does re-promotes i'm guessing. Archie collection was the first collection I bought from since Quite Cute (which I hated by the way). I use to only go to the store and get sucked into buying things that would not work on my skintone... and never ended up touching... ended in a long hiatus from MAC. My husbands sisters love it when I give them my "duds". . Getting back into it now that im more knowledgeable about makeup and my tone... I think I just need to research more like I did for AG and buy online instead of going in store... unless its something I KNOW I need to repurchase. Thats why I joined this website. I've only been using NARS for the past year and half because their products never seemed to go wrong for me. Now into my experimental phase... AHH. Love it. EDIT/// forgot to quote the gal that responded to me... she told me Plumish was a perm color.

It shows up on me as a blush. Too shimmery to wear as one regularly, but it does show up with a subtle colour. At least, I thought it did when I wore it that way the other day!You sold me on itAlso, I think if I don't set my liquid foundation and put Shell Pearl on, it might show up as a blush? A girl can dreamlol

I got my package today!
Cockney is a lot prettier than I thought. I can't wait to wear it. I also got Viva Glam Nick l/g (the first one). Very nice.
