Makeup for long faces?

Hi everyone! I have what is known as a long face shape, and I wondered if anyone had any tips out there for makeup to balance it out somehow? I've looked it up on search engines but haven't found much. Except I've always wanted arched brows but apparently should have long straight ones

Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you

My do's and don't's for longer shaped face:

Do get bangs, makes your face look shorter.
Don't contour with shadows along the jawline, bridge of the nose or from the temple to the hallow of the cheeks. All these things will just narrow the face and make it appear longer and thinner.
Do place blush on the apples of the cheek rather than the sides of the face.
Do experiment with highlighters. Shadows recess, highlighters bring forth.

Actually there are no DO'S and DON'Ts in anything. Lets call it "highly recommend" vs "try to avoid". HTH

I'm trying to remember this, but I may be wrong. If the length of your face is more than the widest point, you have a long face.

Thanks, but I think those of us with long faces know we have them without having to measure anything *blanches at the thought*
