First I want to say “Hi” to all the girls here!
I am very new to makeup, and I need a lot of advice *very long*
I have dark green eyes, medium dark brown hair and light skin with pink (and some yellow) undertones.
I don’t ware foundation or powder or canceller because I can’t seem to find the right color, every time I used foundation it goes into my pores and also made my fuzz visible and I never seem to get that “is she wearing foundation??” , I always seem to be able to tell that I have something on and it looks and feels so heavy like my skin is suffocating. Plus, I have very sensitive skin and that complicates things but if I could find the right foundation I would definitely ware it.
I do not know what colors work best for me. I have some makeup and I am just going to list it bellow, if there are some colors that are TOTALLY wrong for me please tell me; I use mainly MAC, QUO, Avon and Cory, the rest I really never use.
I am not going to list my lipsticks but I usually ware Revlon Pearl Blushed, Champagne or MAC Tan pigment.
My skin is quite thin and sensitive; right now I am having a hard time finding a moisturizer that I won’t react to. Also I have some fuzz on my face(not a lot but any foundation or powder seems to just make it more visible) and I don’t know how to make it in such a way that the foundation and or powder not to name it even more obvious.
I have no idea how to do my eyebrows. I get them tweezed myself because at the salon they always make them round not that beautiful arched shape. Looking at them, they look ok but they need to be groomed a little and maybe cut and filled in some places and I don’t have the skills to do it on myself (I can do I on other people but not on me, same with the makeup) .
I am about to break down and cry
, I want to look nice and put together for once !, I am going back home to my country after 6 years and I don’t want to look this bad, I went thru a lot (cancer and some other health problems) so I have lost some weight and now I look skinny and I have these big under eye circles that don’t seem to go away anymore. I really need some help … any advice or suggestion is more then welcomed.
Bellow I will list the makeup that I have, the tools and some things that I may need:
MAC pigments: Pink Bronze, Vanilla, Tan, Old Gold, Charteuse, Violet, Sunpepper, Softwash Grey, Cornflower, Coco, Frozen white.
QUO single eyeshadows: Sensible, Dawn, Dusk and Jealousy.
Cory: Whisper, Vixen, Pebble, Phantom, Element, Tamish, Smoked, Baffled, Perk, Undressed, Dimm, Rage, Rumble,
Avon True Color eyeshadow duos: Classic Neutral Medium, Sinful Chocolate, Forest, Playful and Deepest Rose Quad.
Shiseido(I just hate these, very messy and they really end up all over your face) The Makeup Duos: Iced Blue, Shell Pink, Liliac Haze, Silverscape
Annabelle: Carbon, 127 – brown, Aura – pink, 96 – pure white, Kir Royale duo and another one that has 3 colors: pink, light brown and green.
Revlon: wet/dry shadow in Violet Haze.
L’Oreal: wear Infinite duo in Sandy Buff
Olay – I have a brand new palette that I never used: dark and light brown, dark and very light gray and chocolate and pink/bronze, Arielle Blue $ Blue Frost duo.
Here are my makeup tools, there are all QUO:
All over shadow – I have 2 of these and there great but there quite big
Brow, lash brush
Definer Shadow brush
Angle brush
Powder brush – never used it
Blush brush – never used it
Lip brush – 2 of them, one is retractable so I guess that it’s better to take it with me.
I really think that I need a smaller brush for the eyeshadow and pigments …
Some items that I know that need to get:
Eyelid primer, probably MAC Bare canvas paint (if there is a better choice please point it out to me )
Powder – I was thinking about NYC translucent because I can find it here in Toronto and it is cheap
Blush – I have a great bronzer from Cory mineral makeup that I can use and the color is really very pretty.
Foundation - I also need a good foundation or something like that and this is the biggest problem because I can see my skin freaking out already.
Canceller: this is a big one! I need it to cover the under eye circles and 1 or 2 little spider veins that I have on one of my cheeks. I need some recs for this.
To have a better idea of what I look like, I have one picture done outside and I just did one right now in the bathroom, I have no makeup on, nothing :
