Making colored mascara?

Hope this fits in here, I wasn't sure where to put it! Please move it if need be.

Anyway! I've been wanting to make different colored mascara's for awhile now, and actually have a shoot coming up where I'll need white mascara. Do any of you make your own? If so, howwww?

I'm thinking clear mascara or aloe gel mixed with a colored pigment. Clueless! Ideas anyone?

You should try the clear mascara, i think that would work just fine. the only white mascaras i can think of are primers.

do not mix your pigments with mascara. they don't have the binding properties to keep the color mix with the mascara.

get the lash mixing medium from the pro store (or thru the 800#). you can mix shadow or pigments with this to get the look you want.

In a fashion show video, this MAC artist applied regular mascara first. Then he took the 205 brush, dipped in a fluidline, and applied it on the lashes. He brushed it on from root to tip. I think he used Blue Peep.
You can try doing that with Frostlite fluidline?

Frostlite won't come out white though; it shows up as a very sheer gold.

Ben NYE and Kryolan both make white mascaras, and I'm fairly sure that MUFE still do.

Vincent Longo also does some coloured mascaras now, but I'm interested in getting ahold of some lash mixing medium to make a teal mascara.

I have a teal mascara from Smashbox. Love the colour.

i agree with the post off calling the 800 number if u need it and cant find it messege me and i can give it to u, in addition if you are not near a mac pro store or a store that carrys ben nye here is what i suggest u do....

1.first curl the lashes (duh) and cover them heavely with the mac prep+prime lash primer

2. use your finger and pack on some gesso, crstal avalnc or any matte white shadow u can find.(i know i know you wouth thing the 205 right? but unestly your finger packs it better ans is easier trust me!)

3. in addition i am a lash freak! and like them to be very full even if they are white! i suggest u grap a pair of mac 3 lash or even 7 lash but before u used them cover them in white nail polish and after they are COMPLEATLY DRY u can put them on top to make the look more intense

4. feathers and even just plain cut up white paper is pretty cool too this of course depends on the look you are going for.

5. dont forget the bottom lashes they are very importand to consider buying the mac bottom lash ( i dont know the number) and do the same steps! i hope this helps!
