Making lipstick matte??

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has used MAC Mixing Medium Matte to make their lipstick matte? Can this be applied directly on to lips on top of a lipstick you have on that you want to make matte? What do you think of this product?

Otherwise, what recommendations do you have for making lipstick matte?

I would definitely mix it. If you don't mix it, the two products will not adhere together. Having said that, it's very easy to mix them either on the back of your hand or in preference on a mixing palette. You will need a spatula anyway to get product out the MM. You only need a tiny amount, but if you like a particular color, it's probably worth make a larger quantity. Mind you, it will not get completely matte, but rather it will resemble the matte finish of lippies. Have fun playing with it. I know I do.
