Mixing pigments

Okay, so after learning I can use the Fix+ spray as a mixing medium from EnKoreMakeup on YouTube, I ordered my first pigment, pink pearl, and it's sooo pretty and I can't wait to try it but I'm stuck. He says to spray the Fix+ on your brush just so it's damp, put some pigment on the jar lid and dip buuuuuuut how the heck do you get the pigment out w/o making a mess? Is there an easy way to transfer it? I'm sure I'll only need a small amount for my deep set eyes. Just wondering if anyone has any tips for me!

I shake the (closed) jar a little bit before opening it up. That way the pigment attaches itself to the lid.

Also, if you don't have enough in the lid by shaking it, you can always spray a small spritz of Fix+ on the pigment lid, close it, shake and then reopen.
