My first FOTD aka I finally figured out how to blend!

Be gentle. I've been having SUCH a hard time trying to figure out how to apply e/s that most days I usually just go out without any on. My biggest fear is to leave the house looking a hot mess!

Anyway, I did a haul at MAC yesterday and bought Select Tint and some MSF Natural and loved my face when I left the house this AM and again when I got back home after getting my hair done.

In the stylist's chair I was flipping though an Avon catalog which had these little diagrams and pics to show you how to apply the e/s in their quads. I have a friend that works at Avon who gives me stuff all the time so when I got home I thought I'd try out one of the quads she gave me. I actually think it was some kind of tester cause there were no names or anything on them. It was new, but I think I mean that maybe it was one of the prototypes you know? I say all that to say that if anyone knows any MAC dupes for the e/s colors I'm wearing I'd appreciate it!

Constructive (yet gentle!) criticism is appreciated as well. I wanna get better at this!

Face:
MAC Select Tint NC50
MAC MSF Natural Deep Dark
MAC Blot Powder Pressed Deep Dark
MAC Blush Breath of Plum

Eyes
I didn't use a primer or anything because I really just came home, applied the e/s, took the pics and then wiped everything off...
Um... Some Avon Compact with four shadows. I only used three.
NYX Eyeliner Black
Maybelline Great Lash
MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Spiked

Lips
MAC Creme Cerise
MAC Liqueur (both from Cult of Cherry)

I thought you did a great job on the blending! It took me a bit to get the blending down. Can't wait to see more FOTDs from you!

Your blending is just fine, don't worry! If you would like to try adding something, you may wish to add a lighter colored neutral shadow (shroom, phloof, or naked lunch are pretty all-purpose, but they might be too light for your skintone) on your browbone. But that's entirely a choice thing, you still look very pretty and put together the way you look in these pictures

Another thing you may wish to try is having either the MSF or the blot powder - they'll give you vastly different results (MSF natural is pretty glowy, blot powder is matte, so mixing them might give you a little bit of an ashy look. If you do mix them, try putting the MSF on last for something a little different.)

Also for the shadow colors, you might want to try Beautiful Iris for the inner corner color, plum dressing for the lid, and sketch for the crease color.

The blending isn't bad. You are so cute and definitely not a hot mess! I think you could've darkened the V more to seperate the colors, however it's most likely the camera that washed out the eyeshadow in the pics. Keep up the wonderful work!
