My First MAC Experience

I was super excited to go into MAC and buy my first product from them.
Well, in my other thread I mentioned that I wanted Dear Cupcake and that would be my first buy. To my luck, I went and asked for it and it was sold out! ): I didn't want to look around much at that time. All I wanted to do was get Dear Cupcake so I went to Macy*s and headed straight for the MAC counter. It took awhile to get someone's attention but finally I asked if they had Dear Cupcake and they said they might still have one more. But no, they sold out. Both ladies I talked to were very nice but I am very dissappointed. ): RAWR!

Gah, I'm stupid. I should have bought a lipstick or something ):

Questions:
Has this ever happend to you?
What was your first MAC purchase?
What was your first MAC experience?

My first MAC experience was so long ago...I am not even sure if they had collections then.......I went in to try out Foundation and to just look at the products....I didn't go in looking for a particular item...But I walked out with a hell of a lot more than foundation.

So I got Foundation, Blot powder, Lip pencil, Lipstick(s) & Blush

My first MAC product was a Love Nectar lustreglass.

It was October 2008 - I went in to check out the freestanding store at Park Meadows Mall in Denver, intent on trying a lipglass, because I'd heard such good things about MAC's lipglasses. I asked for a recommendation for a color, and the MA picked out Love Nectar lustreglass. At first, I wasn't really thrilled that it was a lustreglass instead of a lipglass, but she put the color on me and I liked it, so I got it. I also asked her to put some eyeshadow on me so I could see if I was allergic to it, and she did, and then we had to rush out, because the mall was closing.

I put Love Nectar into my purse and all but forgot about it until a couple months later when I was wearing a very pale pink sweater and the only other lippies I had with me were bright cherry pink and shimmery plum, so I pulled out Love Nectar... and kept pulling it out every time I wanted a color other than my typical bright cherry pink lipgloss. I had used about a quarter of it before I finally realized, "Hey, I love this color. And I love the texture. I should totally get some more MAC glosses." And so February 28th, I visited the MAC counter at Dillard's (the only place to buy MAC in the entire city) and picked up Lustrewhite and Possum Nose Pink. I was hooked, and in the less than 2 months since, my collection has expanded to 21 glosses (lipglass, lustreglass, and dazzleglass), 3 slimshines, and 12 eyeshadows that are all going in my 15 pan palette. I also have 6 more glosses and another eyeshadow on the way.

My very first mac purchase was Trax eyeshadow. I really didn't like dear cup cake that much. Don't get worked up on just one eye shadow. I don't think Dear Cup Cake had great color pay off. You should of asked if that had a shadow LIKE this. They would have helped you.

My first MAC experience was in 2001 when I was pregnant, I had complained to my hubby that I felt fat and ugly. I told him if he took me to MAC I would feel better. I ended up getting studio fix powder, 4 e/s brule wedge malt and some other one that I can't remember, a l/l and l/g. I was fun and I did feel better after.

My first MAC experience was in 1999 (yikes!). I'd seen the counter a few times and been enthralled by the vast choice of colours. In those days, we had very few cosmetic brands in NZ besides the really big ones (e.g. Clinique), and they did not cater very well for Asian skintones. Anyway, I got a Studio Finish concealer and Crystal eyeshadow and have been a total MAC addict ever since.

My first MAC experience was when I first got their eyeshadows in Shadowy Lady, Era and Antiqued. I also visited a MAC counter a long time ago for the first timea and wanted something from MAC but didn't get it. Last year in July, I rediscoverd MAC and I was browsing through the website to see what they have and was amazed! My first actual MAC purchase at the store was Shimmermoss e/s, Vanilla e/s and Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NC55. After that, I started buying MAC online and became so addicted to ordering online than going to the store (I've been to the MAC store 3 times so far) and I would love to go to the MAC store again soon.

My first MAC experience was in 1999/2000 when my bff wanted to go to the MAC counter at Nordstroms in Pleasanton. We had a ball at the counter and I left there with Oh Baby lipglass, O lipstick and a lipliner in Chestnut I think. I lost the O lipstick and lipliner and still have Oh Baby somewhere in a purse I no longer use but happened to had found a couple of weeks ago and I plan to B2M it!! LMAO
