Thanks for posting, frankly speaking I was expecting much more from this Andy Warhol collection, true bold colours in fact. Maybe I'll take 1 or 2 nail polishes I don't know yet.
Well as you said, let's save up for the other collections.

The packaging and the palette are really pretty but the shades themselves, well I'll have to see it in person really. I think I will focus on the nail polishes as I said, but one never knows, this palette looks nice ( not really beautiful though ).
Thanks for posting MarieMary !

That might be the case.  I don't think I am willing to work with the purple though, especially since I have some really good purples already.  Let me know.   I think I am going to go after a MUFE turquoise since I have MUFE #92  and create a look with those.
MUFE #72 is a great turquoise. Love it! The more I see of this palette, the more nervous I get. I jumped the gun. I just love the way everything is packaged together. I'm going to keep an open mind, though. I'll try everything on when I get it before I make a judgement.

I like the way it looks too! I'm sure you can make it work. I need to get #72. There was a also a sugarpill palette with these colors in it. I love the polishes.

I was thinking about that sugarpill palette but I have the mufe colors that are dupes for that palette. I just need to get the four shadow pan palettes by mufe to pop them into. I'm also thinking about that relaly big, magnetized palette that they sell. I like having my shadows divided and not in one big palette, but it's so convenient. Maybe I'll take a trip to the mufe store in a few weeks and get them. I'm really excited to try that black Nars polish. I usually stay away from black, but the glossiness of it is calling me.

My friend who works in Nordstrom beauty said they are only getting 6 of each item in and to pre-order ASAP if there was anything I really wanted. I'm not sure how it will be at other stores, but wanted to let you ladies know!

I got my palette today and I couldn't wait to start playing with it. I snapped pictures along the way: This is the box (you know I'm keeping this, right? How awesome is this? The packaging for Black Room nail polish is next to it)

I didn't bother to photograph my swatches because frankly, they're terrible. I wasn't discouraged, though because I own several shadows that swatch like hell but perform great. I went to work using these shades over the Nars primer and I have to say that I love these shadows! I used a giant shader brush by a brand called japonesque to pat the turquoise shadow onto one eye. I then put the purple shade on the other eye. I used the black on both eyes in the outer v, in the crease and the bottom lash line. I used the white shadow as a brow and inner eye highlight. I didn't do an ace job because I just wanted to see how well these things worked, so I didn't take pictures. Just trust me when I say these shadows are not duds. Now, they are not neon, vibrant colors, but they don't even look that way in the pan so I didn't expect that. They aren't sheer either and you can build them up by patting. The best shade of the 4 is the black and that really impressed me. Second best I'd say is the purple. The turquoise is really good, but it's softer in pigmentation than the purple, so it's third best for me. I've never had much use for white shadows, but this one does a really good job as a highlight. As for the glitter we all feared: It's not much of an issue. It doesn't show up much, if at all on the lid. There's a random spec of glitter and there was a bit of fallout, but not a glitter bomb. I'm going to do a full face look with this palette either tomorrow or Thursday so I can try the 2 blushes. I hope they're as good as the shadows. I feel so good about this palette that it makes me want to try that New Wave palette. Am I pushing my luck there?

Good for you! The glitter was never an issue for me, the pigmentation was and I am glad you got the colors to work. they were horrible for me. The packaging IS amazing! When I saw it, I thought it was done right. Andy would be proud! Now the New Wave palette. Stellar without a second thought. Grab it!

The colors didn't work on you? :( Sorry to hear that. See, now you're tempting me! :getyou: I have to take a trip to the mall tomorrow and I know Saks has the New Wave palette. I had just convinced myself I didn't need it. It has one shade in there that I already own from the rated r duo, but that's OK. Well, guess I'll be buying that tomorrow!

No worries, there are lots of similar colors out there that will do the same thing and show up better. I am really missing out on a NARS blush/eye palette period. i want one but haven't found the perfect one yet. NARS' palettes are so sleek, modern, and perfect for travel. I am thinking about the foreplay palette. It looks interesting.

The foreplay palette looks nice. I have 2 of those shades, I think or something very similar by Nars, so I skipped it. Now that I think of it, I might be better of getting that neutral Nars palette b/c the New Wave palette has a black and a purple and so does the Debbie Harry palette. :hmm:

Thank you for the awesome photos, makes me want it even more! I say def. go for the New Wave palette! I love it so much and bought even though I'm in the same boat as with having the Rated R duo already.

I talked with a couple of SAs at the counter and they honestly said they didn't want to recommend Self portrait palettes if I use them bacause the overspraying will disappear quickly
even if I use small brushes. They recommended them for cosmetic collectors.
I think I'll pass the whole collection.

Eyeshadow palettes from this collection seem a bit pointless if you can't use them..I'm skipping this collection too..

I am so tempted by the Flowers palettes, esp. #1 but I think I would never use it because it looks like a work of art and I couldn't bring myself to damage the pretty...

I broke down yesterday and bought the Walk on the Wild Side set (that silver illuminator is amazing), Satellite of Dreams blush and 47th Street eyeliner. Not what I expected to get but after playing with them I fell in love.

I picked up the 47th Street eyeliner and Back Room nail polish last week at Sephora. I don't know why I bought the polish, it's just plain black, right? I thought I read somewhere that it had some kind of new finish or something. I can't find any mention of it anywhere. I haven't tried it and may return it. I don't really need a plain black polish. I think I'm done with this collection although I did kind of like the highlighter, I think I'm going to skip it. I really only wanted the eyeliner anyway.

I'll pick up 2 nail polishes : the purple and the teal. I think the nail polishes are really in the Andy Warhol spirit, I am disappointed by the collection on the whole, I am a huge fan of François Nars but not this time.

I saw this collection yesterday finally! I picked up the black and purple nail polishes and already wearing the black which is To Die For!!! I use black polishes a lot and this is my new HG black. It's opaque and shiny in one coat and the formula was amazing! Can't wait to try the purple.

I'm a long time Nars fan and collector but my experience with their nail polishes was limited to Jungle Red polish. I know I will be getting more now though :D
