I sure hope that was the reason and NARS doesn't ship costumers' packages in envelopes. I wouldn't know because I've never ordered from NARS.
I believe they were press samples that were shipped like this - I don't think she purchased them.

I keep going back and forth on Short Circuit lipstick, I like it but I definitely wear more blue reds than orange reds (still like them though) and I think it's really close to my YSL Rouge Volupté #16, just a bit more orange

It means beating heart. Maybe kar bah-tahn. I don't speak French though.

I speak French, not sure how to translate the coeur sound into English though lol. Kheur-baah-tohn is the best I can explain it

Me too. I thought SC is more like coral (cuz the color story said it's fire coral!!) rather than orange red, so I'm quite disappointed.
And the problem is I wear more blue red or pinky red too!

I'm such a coral addict, I wish it was coral! Lol I'd be all over it then. I think it's a pretty color and I love how bold it is but I don't want to buy it and then not use it

We have to be rational, right?
I keep telling me "Don't buy Future Red too. I already have too many red lipsticks!!" lol

I always have to force myself to look at colors one by one bc when I see collections I always want them all! Lol they look so good together (like they're supposed to) but one by one I'm like ok are you really going to wear this or do you want it because it looks cool next to that fuschia? Lol

That oeur sound it really hard to explain to people who speak English without hearing it. It's kind of like "Kerr" as in Miranda Kerr.

Like MissTT said, Cœur battant means "beating heart" (and cœur is written with a letter linking o and e together).
Pronouncing it for an English speaker is tough because it has sounds that are not used in English so let's get English words that have similar sounds. :)
Cœur is like fur, except with a c, and the final r is guttural so it comes from the throat (like in the parodies of French except not as exaggerated, lol).
Battant is a pain because the sound at the end is a nasal vowel. Battant starts like bat and ends like croissant (the end t is silent, and so is the n).

You can listen to both words by clicking the speaker next to the word.

And the fun part is, it's different in Québec French, lol.

I hope that helps! :D

Edit: Thank you kanne, I had no idea Kerr was pronounced like that! ;)

Ugh trying to explain the pronunciation in English is really hard. Even after listening to the guide and reading the advice of our experts. And different in Quebec French MarieMary??? Oh my! I'll never get this language.

If it's any consolation, I think that English is actually a lot harder to learn. In this case, the pronunciation is actually the same in Quebec French, but yes, there are a lot of differences (kinda like British versus American English).

However you pronounce it, I know I want it.

English is definitely difficult. I wish I would have mastered another language as a child though. The thought of attempting to learn French overwhelms me.
