Hi everyone!

I would really appreciate some help from you all. I am unable to go to my nearest Sephora right now and was wondering what color I should gets in the sheer glow foundation. I am an NC 30/C 3 in MAC. I think Barcelona would be too pink for me, but am wondering if Punjab is too yellow. Can someone please help me with this...TIA!

i'm nc40 and i use barcelona. i have a friend who is nc30 and she uses punjab. our undertones are similar, we're both warm but i'm a little more olive. honestly i think the only way to get a match is if you're able to go to a store and check it out. when i went to pick up sheer glow i told one of the workers at sephora i was nc40 for mac and she said that won't help at all, she told me she's c3 and she used punjab. can you go to nordstroms? if you can they have nars there ass well. hth!

Yeah, I'm just going to have to try and get a sample. I have a sample of Barcelona and it's not really a match. I have to REALLY buff it out to make it look natural. Is Sephora cool if I ask for a sample of Punjab and Stromboli and maybe another color I see that could be a match? Or are they going to give me a hard time becuase there is a limit to the samples? I have more olive skin, so that means I should go for a more yellow based foundation but I just don't want to come out TOO yellow.

have a look at these and see which is best, I think maybe stromboli, but if you find one is too pink or yellow you could even it out with a pink/yellow power

Thanks for posting this! I had seen these swatches before but had forgotten about them. I think Punjab might be a little light, but Stromboli looks similar to the color I am using now (MAC Studio Sculpt NC 30). But before I go spending $42 on a foundation (eekkk!!!), I will definitely have to go in person and check it out.

I think Strombroli would be a perfect match for you, it's medium with olive undertones according to the description. I'm nc30 and punjab is a perfect match for me, but going by your avatar pic your a lot more tanned than i am.

Sephora has always been cool about giving me foundation samples. I think you'll be able to find a match while in the store though since this foundation looks awfully streaky if its not the right color for your skin tone.

i don't think you should have a problem getting samples. i brought my studio sculpt with me and did a side by side with sheer glow to try and get a good match. sheer matte was way too hard to match! the shades are so diff than sheer glow..so i gave up. i hope you find your match :]

I'm NC35/C40, very golden or olive in colour and Stromboli is a good match for me, maybe a tiny bit too dark if I'm being picky...I think it will be too dark for a NC30/C3 for sure.

Punjab and Sante Fe are your closest colours for NC30 I think but they are lacking a strong olive undertone, which Stromboli has. I know it's difficult but you've got to find a way to get samples, foundation is too expensive to make mistakes with!

Thanks, that's a good idea. I'll bring my studio sculpt with me.

Hmmmm, if you wear Stromboli and you think it's a little dark at certain times, then it probably will be too dark. I'll most likely end up buying Punjab and get a sample of Stromboli.

Thank you everyone for all your help

So I finally was able to go to Sephora and I got a sample of Punjab and Santa Fe. When I first applied Punjab I thought that maybe it was a little too yellow and light, but I had also used my self tanner the night before so I was a little darker than I usually am. I didn't use a lot and I blended really well so it matched my skin perfectly. I still haven't gotten around to trying Santa Fe but now I want to go back and get sample of Stromboli because I think that will be a good match for me in the summer. All in all, Punjab is a match for me right now and I think Stromboli would be great for summer.

Thank you ladies for pointing me in the right direction!
