Yes! I used to do this with my bright red lipsticks to give it more of a matte/retro look while extending its staying power hugely. I just use a generic translucent loose powder.

Yes! I've been doing this for a few months, since I got my HD powder, and I loooove this trick! It works out really well for me, especially because I'm so oily that even when I wear lip liner, my bright lipsticks want to bleed. ...oily lips, maybe? Hehe...

I tried this out and it works great, I do it every time I put lipstick on now.
