OK I need help- how do I know if a charity is legit?

OK There is this charity I want to help out

And I really want to help these people out but I'm not sure if it is legit or not because I know there are SO MANY charities that claim they are legit but in reality they are not. So I contacted these people asked them to send me some info- they did and it really does seem pretty legit but I'm still not 100% sure.

So how do I find out?
