Old Hollywood Prom Make Up

My school's prom is coming up on May 21st, and I wanted to get recommendations on what beauty products I should use to get a retro, Gwen Stefani-Inspired look.
I already have "Purposefully Red" lipstain marker from MAC, which I plan to use for the lips. I also have Book of Shadows I and II from Urban Decay and the colour 4 eyeshadow quad from the recent Spring Color Forecast from MAC. I'd prefer not to buy anything new as far as eyeshadows go, but am open to it if it's affordable.
Another request (Sorry guys!) is if there are any recs for false eyelashes that give a thick, long look to eyelashes (Without looking like spiders legs or horse lashes)

Well I think that Gwen Stefani relies on heavily on winged out liner, lashes, and sharply defined brows in addition to the bold lip. A lot of her eyeshadow looks very matte with a hint of shimmer added in many of the pictures of her.
I would say if you have the lip application down, try to work with the eyes. If you're uncomfortable with liquid liner, keep some q-tips around with makeup remover (especially the pointy ones). Also if you haven't done so already, try working with different brow tutorials that show how to apply a strongly defined brow.

Thanks Blazen, eyebrows are a bit hard to do though, since mine are so light and stenciling them on can look scary on me hahaha
