Pro Memberships - Just Doesn't Make Sense

Not that NYX is an awful brand by any means, but I've always been a bit confused as to why they require more credentials for their Pro membership than MAC, Smashbox, etc.

They offer two options for application, though, with one option requiring more proof than the other. The first option just requires an active cosmetology license and photo ID along with your application. My thinking is you'd go with this option if you don't have a website or some kind of portfolio? http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/t-professionaldiscount.aspx

That would be ideal, but no license

....only MUA certification. My state stopped issuing MUA licenses in 2008. The other option just feels like they request a bit much for product that isn't all that expensive anyway. Seems like a lot of trouble for not a lot of payoff.

I agree. I didn't even bother with them since they have so many requirements. I figure they're not as expensive anyway and we can get from ulta when they do the 40% off deals. I also see nyx online offer deals as well so to save all the hassel I just wait for the sales.
