My company gets Sample items all the time...It was probably a gratis item to a Estee Lauder employee....Which MSF did you purchase
I have not seen the MSF's faked yet...Curious if anyone else has....

A "sample" sticker doesn't mean fake. Artists working for M·A·C get a lot of products labelled that way. It's also no guarantee something is genuine.

I haven't heard of MSFs beking faked - yet. There are far easier products for the counterfeiters to produce.

MAC preview samples (given to employees, trainers, etc) are sometimes marked with a white sticker that says "sample" in black print. HTH

I bought MSF in Medium Plus. I was just wondering why it was marked sample...

As others have said - samples are full size items given out to employers and journalists sometimes at pre launch events prior to the actual release dates of the products - I guess so the artists can get used to the new products and that journalists can write their articles etc.

As Sarah has said - MSF have yet to be counterfeited.

I knew I'd got a picture somewhere. This is a genuine sample from M·A·C;

This was given to me during my M·A·C course so is definitely genuine.

Thanks! And I am glad to hear the MSF's haven't been faked yet. I would think they may take way to much work to fake? I dunno..

MSFs are very difficult to manufacture. It took M·A·C a lot of work to get mass production right. As far as I know the process involves baking. Far too much trouble for fakers when they can knock out pigments easily.
