Yeah, people don't have this lil simple word in their vocabulary anymore which is 'nice' lol. I guess retail really made me hate people because a good portion of the time you just have straight up stupid bitches. All though I do have some really great customers too so it kind of makes up for the bad ones. It's just a crazy world these days..

ugh!! its almost over, i do feel so blah right now, my body is like 'what are you doing??!!" my last day off was last tues, so worked through a prom weekend and didnt even get to recoop from that, im still trucking along. the other 3rd key is on vacay and this week i closed, opened, closed tonight then i open tomorrow, had to do the stock concerns for both of us (her and i split them), oh annnnnd im product specialist so ive put together our themes for the month, busted out some facecharts, boxed up rtv.... i feel like a zombie!! im so drained, just one more day and then i get a weekend off. yay!! even though sat i will be doing free makeup for my cousins wedding... it doesnt end.
i dont want to get sick, but my poor body needs some rest before i end up with swine flu!

BUT i did say "okay, i know you're probably sick of people asking for dark smokey eyes, but.....". The guy was like "don't be silly", but now i'm thinking that inside he was like "bitch please." LOL. i bought all my products though..so at least i was a good customer

Hahahaha, add to that I want my makeup done but dont make me look like a drag queen with caked on makeup, which is what I really think of MAC MAs but I still wont go anywhere else for makeup cos this is the only place they will do it without me spending a fortune and where one mascara doesnt cost £20.

OK they dont say all of that but in most cases i know its what they are thinking cos when it comes to closing the 'sale' theyre like ''i'll just take the eye pencil'' - sorry, no you wont its a minumum 3product/£25 purchase, so erm, what else did you like??

LOL girl! Seriously, its cool to ask for that and most MAC MAs love their dramatic makeup applications cos honestly, its far easier to do than "its my 40th bday party, make me look different"!!!

As long as a customer is familiar with smokey eyes, know what they want from it and the effect it will have on their look, cool!! Cos right after my prom makeups on Sat, I had a girl who wanted black smokey eyes with red lips for her 18th birthday - easy.

But in the UK - the NW35/matte bronze face, with myth/saint germain lipstick is still beating the smokey eye requests. Thanks Katie Price.

i honestly don't mind the girls that come in, because its so easy to tune them out...but its the MOTHERS...OMFG. one lady had me remove the beautiful winged out liner i did on her daughter because "WE don't wear eyeliner." wtf. her daughter loved it, but the mom wouldnt let me do anything on her because "WE don't wear that." WE needs to be put in an asylum for cookoos.

Perfect! Rose Romance, here we come!
5 color combinations later, I ended up doing Et tu bouquet with Shadowy Lady and blacktrack. I kept checking in with her since she had been so vague and even though she "totally trusted me, and I could do whatever I wanted" nothing except that was "quite right". Sigh.

Ugh what I fuckin HATE THE MOST about prom makeup is the cheapass teenagers!

At Ulta we do two kinds of service: 30.00 at the salon or come into the prestige dept (where i work) and purchase a few items in the dept. I tell them to purchase at least 40.00 worth of product...and a lot of the times they are like what if I just want my eyes done? How much do i have to spend? and I get so frustrated because the eye works is the most detailed! So yea, upcoming prom makeup at Ulta will be annoying because most of the time they end up only buying a lipgloss! I'm also doing prom makeup for mac on the 29th, itll be my first time doing it for mac so well see how that goes, probably the same thing as Ulta...
