Prom

So this is my prom dress, taken with my low quality MAC cam, sorry.

I have a few questions:

How should I do my hair? I think my dress is rather gothic and I want a hairstyle to compliment that. I was thinking of doing a side chignon.

What colour blush: Pink, peach, orange? I'm leaning towards pink.

Red lips or pink lips: As it is I'm leaning towards pink as it's more youthful and modern. I'm worried red will bleed and I hate reapplying lipstick as it starts to make my lips look like they're peeling. With the pink I can just do a swipe of gloss and be done.

Should I wear the earrings to match the necklace or my usual silver balls?

I think for the eyes I'm going to do fake lashes, mascara, and a bit of liner on the top but if you have any other suggestions i'd be much obliged. I'll probs end up putting a little bit of chilled on ice paint pot on the lids though..hmm

Here are the different options I was thinking of:

Lips:
stain of Chanel Rouge Allure Laque #79
MAC strawberrry blonde lipglass

Lips:
Burberry Lipcover No.20 Hibiscus

I like the idea of the the more simple earings, because i think the dress (which is STUNNING!) and necklace make such a statement on its own.

i like the idea of the hair pulled back too.

I would absolutely go with pink lips as opposed to red. and your eye makeup sounds very pretty too. i think it would be a good idea to use the paint pot as it will give a bit of light to an otherwise somewhat dark colour palette.

here are some other pretty up dos i found that i think would also compliment the look you have in mind.

A side chignon would be lovely, especially since it's a strapless dress and you can highlight your shoulders more that way.

I agree on the pink lip too, a red lip with a longer black dress might read a little too heavy. Pink will keep it nice and youthful.
