i have a quick question.
i had my demo on tuesday. after i was through and
spoke to the store manager she told me they would be letting everyone know something in a week or so.
and my question is does mac call you whether you get the job or not??

i guess i'm getting a little worried :/
maybe it always takes this long.
they are hiring for all the three stores in my area, one brand new, opening in oct.
so they were doing demo's for days.

if anyone can answer about whether they call or not, thank you :]

It could take awhile..my experience tooek only two weeks from first interview to hired, but others seem like it took a month or two.

Be patient. I'm sure you rocked it out and will hear something soon!

thanks!!
they called me yesterday and told me they were sorry
they weren't offering me a permanent full time position,
but that they wanted me for freelance.
i'm happy i got that!!
hoping it's my way in to maybe get a p/t position later on.
they are supposed to be calling me this week to set up a time
to fill out paperwork.
i'm excited!

Freelance is a wonderful position to start out with! Congrats!

If you are interested in going p/t or fulltime just make sure that its made known to the store managers in your area. That way when a position opens up, they already have an artist trained for the counter. And with you traveling to different counters around you're area, you'll gain tons of exp. with many different people and teams.

Congrats! Enjoy your new job!

-Another thing, you do have a choice when you work, as they call you when they need you, make sure not to turn down too many jobs, as they will STOP calling you..keeping up with going to jobs will get your name embedded with managers.

i started as freelance and moved to permanent.

i did one freelance event, and they called me two weeks later and said that a spot opened up and they hired me for it. as soon as i started, one girl put in her two weeks, and they hired another freelancer who worked her first event with me. so we both ended up doing just one event and got hired for a perm. spot.

good luck!

we only fill perm. counter spots with freelancers. not sure how it works for other locations.
