Question about M·A·C Foundation Colors.

Hey all!

I was wondering if someone could help me out with a question.

I'm almost all out of my SatinFinish Liquid Foundation and since it is spring and the weather is getting warmer, I want to switch to a powder. I'm interested in the Studio Fix but I'm not sure if the colors run the same as the SatinFinish. I'm an NC30 and would like to know if I would be the same color in the Studio Fix? If I'm an NC30 for SatinFinish, would I be an NC30 in all M·A·C Foundations?

Thanks so much! It would help me save money & a trip to the nearest M·A·C Counter! ( I can never just go for one thing lol )

not necessarily. different foundation formulas run differently. studio fix tends to darken a little on the skin after a few minutes, so you may need to go down a shade. and, there is a pretty big difference in coverage between MSF and SF foundations, just so you know. MSF is sheer to medium, and SF is more full coverage. the only way to know for sure is to go to a counter/store and get matched.

Be warned, if you are blemish or acne prone or have sensitive or dry skin, Studio Fix will not be the best choice for you in terms of foundation. Plus it tends to oxidize and turn slightly orange.

you'll definately want to go to the counter. in general, liquid makeup runs a little darker than powder makeup.
