Question About MAC Skin Finishes

I want to get the MAC skin finish in Soft and Gentle but makeup expert that I consider myself, I am not sure how to apply it. Does it go over your powder or IS IT your powder? Is it just used for highlighting? PLEASE ADVISE ME. I am lost.

Soft & Gentle is best used as a highlighter, especially for areas like just above the cheekbone or below the brow. You can also use it as an eye shadow! If you apply it all over the face it's very, very shimmery and looks a bit odd.

Lightscapade is lighter and much less shimmery... It has more of a pale glow to it so you can use that as your powder (if you're fair skinned) or as a highlighter, but most people seem to just use it as a highlighter. If you're an NW20 I probably wouldn't use Lightscapade as an all over powder, though.

Use as highlight even down the bridge of the nose
